Lovely hotel. The service was exceptional, I can't praise the staff enough. The room was cosy and had nice views to the seafront. The breakfast was delicious and there was a good choice (no veggie option but it was still possible to order only the non-meat options like eggs and mushrooms). I would definitely recommend this hotel

You can also walk to the Isle of Man TT Race Grandstand. It's on a bit of a hill, so if you stayed in a room facing the sea you could get a beautiful view of the ocean. The bus stop is only 100m away. The location is very good, though I did feel there were some maintenance issues, such as the kettle being dirty. Overall I was very satisfied and thought it was good.

We loved our room with the sea view and the entire building was like a nostalgic and most welcome step back in time. Friendly and helpful staff and excellent food.

This establishment is amazing! The rooms are cozy and roomy. If you're visiting for the races the grandstand is just a short walk from the hotel. The island is very accommodating in general but the biggest star of the show is Lucy. She helped me get a bicycle delivered to the hotel for me to ride around on, then showed me where to dry my clothes after the island gave me a free shower. She had all the information I could ever need to find things in town, and when I left medication in the refrigerator by mistake on the way to the airport, Lucy found it, called me and promptly booked a taxi to deliver it to me at the airport! 12/10* I would absolutely recommend the Welbeck. After over 100 years of service, they still make you feel like guests in a home.

Our room was lovely, large and airy, with three windows including patio doors onto a little balcony and a view of the sea. There were 3 radiators, so I’m sure it would be cosy in the winter too. We had a king size bed, a sofa and plenty of storage. The bathroom had an excellent shower over the bath. Cleanliness and room servicing is excellent. The location is quite quiet, a side road off the promenade, and it’s convenient for all transport options, with bus stops nearby. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the food choices and quality generally very good. I would be happy to stay at the Welbeck again and to recommend it.

Property well kept. Dining options in and around the hotel are plentiful. Excellent central area location above the Promenade for walking and transportation options. Family run hotel is a great stay.
