This will probably become one of my favorite hotels in Dubai. The beautiful Arabic-style rooms are absolutely stunning, and there is really nothing to complain about. The hotel has a gorgeous, spacious territory, and the boat rides along the canals are a special experience on their own. The view from the room is breathtaking. You almost forget that you are in Dubai — it truly feels like being inside an Arabian fairy tale.

This hotel lives up to its reputation; I absolutely loved it! Especially the lovely Chinese lady at the front desk, with her round face. She was fantastic, so enthusiastic and patient, fluent in both Chinese and English, explaining every aspect of the hotel. She even upgraded us to a room with an amazing view. The hotel was very thoughtful, providing eye masks and after-sun lotion. The room was clean and hygienic, and all the facilities were great. Most importantly, it's very close to the market, which is super convenient for eating and shopping.

As a frequent guest at luxury hotels in this price range, I booked this property through Ctrip for a special New Year’s Eve stay at approximately 16,000 per night, expecting a seamless and memorable experience. For one night, I had reserved an extra room for family who could not join last-minute. My pre-arrival requests to change the guest name were repeatedly declined. At check-in, a staff member named Chen, who spoke Chinese and appeared very enthusiastic, assisted us. However, the lengthy explanations and repeated back-and-forth—combined with internal coordination issues (claims that Ctrip’s email was not received and that the reservations department would not take calls)—felt more time-consuming than genuinely helpful. Despite our obvious fatigue after a long flight with a young child, we waited over an hour as the discussion went in circles. Eventually, the manager asked for passport copies of the absent guests “for records,” only for the name change to be approved later anyway. The Ctrip listing mentioned a garden view, but staff explained that my “cheapest” rate only included city view—a phrasing that felt dismissive. To resolve this, we were offered an accessible room, described as having a larger bathroom and better view. We accepted, but the room was small for the price, the view was no better (photos attached), the balcony had cigarette butts, and the bathroom was not noticeably larger (also shown in photos). Compared to other properties in this category (Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Peninsula, etc.), the service efficiency, attention to detail, and overall value fell short—especially on New Year’s Eve. Despite these issues, we focused on enjoying our family holiday and had a wonderful time overall. Photos of the room, view, balcony, and bathroom are attached for reference.

The hotel's service quality has significantly declined. It seems unable to compete with the newly opened luxury hotels. What I definitely disliked: - Breakfast until 11:00 AM. This is a beach hotel, and it's inconvenient for guests to rush to breakfast and try to finish eating by 11:00 AM (by the way, they start clearing the food at 11). For instance, at one St. Regis hotel, breakfast is served until 1:00 PM, which is extremely convenient. - Unauthorized people somehow get onto the beach and comfortably set up their belongings on the sand in front of the sunbeds (some even brazenly use the sunbeds themselves). The security didn't seem to react much on the occasions I observed. - If your room faces the bay and 'Venice,' be prepared for music every day until 2 AM. This is because there are nearby restaurants, particularly a Greek restaurant directly opposite the building, and a couple of bars to the side of the rooms. Loud music plays from all these establishments, and you can hear it even with the windows closed. - In my opinion, the food at the hotel's restaurants is mediocre and expensive (2 samsas, 2 manty, a tomato salad, and 2 beers cost 400+ dirhams). However, I must admit, the hotel is still good, and the grounds are excellent.

Always my first choice hotel when traveling to Dubai. Like the mini Venice style canal trip on the electric boat. Very nice high end gym and 25m swimming pool included.

The room felt quite small for a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids), which made our stay a bit cramped. Navigating the long hallways was tiring, especially with young children. The breakfast was average—considering the price, I expected a better variety of options. The swimming pools were decent, and we appreciated having access to them. However, the lack of readily available buggies and the long waiting times for the abra (boat service) made getting around frustrating. On a positive note, the in-room treats were a nice touch—fresh fruits, dates, and plenty of bottled water were much appreciated. Still, overall, nothing stood out as exceptional, and the experience didn’t quite meet my expectations.

Cleanliness was decent. They didn’t let us extend our stay by 1 hour so our baby could sleep. A bit annoying but overall happy.
