Mercure properties in Dubai

We enjoyed our stay at Mercure. From Dubai airport, we took the public bus that stops right in front of the hotel.The Metro is also there. Super convenient. The hotel is connected to a building that has several shops like supermarket, cafes and a pharmacy. We arrived at the hotel late morning and while we were not able to check in yet, we were able to leave our luggages at the reception and rested for a while there making use of the common computer and helped ourselves to the complimentary drinks. The hotel is right across the Old Dubai where there are numerous restaurant, supermarkets and shops. It might take you around 20 mins or so walk to the waterfront where you can take the Abrar to the opposite side where the souk is. The hotel room is spacious and clean. Wifi is strong. Staffs are friendly and helpful. We didn't make use of the hotel restaurant.

I recently stayed at Mercure Dubai Deira and had a wonderful experience. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore the nearby Gold Souk which was my reason for the trip. My room was spacious and clean with a lovely view. The staff were lovely and very helpful, the overall atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. A great choice -I’d definitely stay here again

I booked a family one-bedroom, sky view room. However, upon arrival, I was given a city view, one-bedroom room. The bathroom was different from the photos, and the kitchen smelled strongly of insecticide. I requested a room change because I paid for a family room and should have received the exact room I booked. Later, they changed it to a sky view room, but it was still a one-bedroom, and the bathroom was still not like the photos of what I originally booked. I specifically paid more for a family room because I wanted a separate bathtub and shower. Isn't a hotel supposed to provide the exact type of room a guest books? Being given a one-bedroom room repeatedly, how is this any different from being scammed? The actual room doesn't match the pictures! I stayed for 4 nights. The hotel uses glass bottles for water, not disposable plastic bottles. Not once did staff refill or replace the water, and the brown sugar was never restocked. On one day, no one even came to clean the room! Then, two different employees asked me to leave them a good review on Google. I honestly cannot lie; this hotel is just terrible! Please be careful when booking this hotel!

I had a very bad experience during check-in yesterday. The front desk receptionist, Mr. Abhishek, was very rude and unfriendly, which made the situation very inconvenient for me and my family. We had to wait several hours to complete the check-in process, and there was no helpful or welcoming attitude from the staff. We had already paid for the hotel, which was the only reason we stayed; otherwise, no one would want to stay in a place with such poor customer service and attitude. I am surprised that the management allows this type of behavior at the front desk, as the guest experience usually begins there. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves their customer service standards.
