Chinook Winds Lodge

I stayed here before heading to Grand Teton. The facilities were excellent, and the scenery was stunning. It’s a place where you can enjoy the convenience of a hotel and the charm of camping all at once.

Pros: we sat on a bench by the river in the evening  which was beautiful. They have made an effort to have unique and nice furniture and room set up with live edge varnished wood sitting table and counter. Cons:  the sheets on one of our beds had lots of dog hair and debris, like they hadn’t been changed. The beds were cheesy bouncy beds, with cheep sheets and coverlets , there was orange mold on the cheep shower curtain.

The room was clean and the hot tub was nice. Only complaint is nobody was in the office during office hours for our entire stay when we needed help.

Room was easy to access after hours, kind staff when I called. Very cabin like and cozy stay.

Everything was great, easy check in text and text to check in with us after a couple days. (5 night stay) Only downside was the bed was way to soft and you sink in too much made sleeping uncomfortable. Office was open to get refreshed items as needed and very helpful and pleasant to ask any questions.

Didn't use hot tub, but all the museums were marvelous.

We had the loveliest last minute stay here! Had some great conversations some folks around the camp fire that the gentleman working the front desk had built. He also brought us extra towels at the hot tub. Everyone was sweet and friendly, and the views were just gorgeous.

3 stars for cleanliness, nice towels and bedding. The window latch was broken and cold wind blasted into the room all night, the heater (or thermostat) did not work properly. No extra toilet paper. No Kleenex provided. If you needed something you go get it yourself during office hours and we were never there while it was open. Thankfully there was a space heater in my traveling companions room that I borrowed, otherwise it would have been uncomfortably cold.
