I really wanted to love this hotel. It has so much potential. However,  the constant barking during the night from dogs on the adjacent property is overwhelming. Poor quality windows make it seem like the dogs are barking in your room. If you value your sleep, stay somewhere else.

We were here last summer. The service and the crew were amazing. We had a relaxing and fun time at their pool. Highly recommend if you’re traveling with kids and wanted to be near town and restaurants. We’ll definitely coming back.

We stayed at Hotel Dumaguete and unfortunately had a disappointing experience with their service. It was raining heavily when we arrived with our baby, and there was no bellhop available. The guard on duty did not offer any assistance or even an umbrella. When I raised this concern, the head guard told me it was “not their job” and that they only help “if they feel like it.” I understand that guards have their own responsibilities, but in the hospitality industry, basic decency and attentiveness to guests should come naturally—especially when children are involved. A simple gesture, like offering an umbrella, would have shown care and professionalism. Sadly, the lack of empathy and the dismissive response left us with a very negative impression of Hotel Dumaguete’s service.

Decent hotel in the heart of the city in dumaguete, with friendly accommodating staff. Overall a great experience although the rooms are a little on the cramped side. The fridge is not in the room and shared on the floor among all guests. Overall a good experience
