Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa

The hotel facilities are good, but they overcharged me. I drove to Dundee and stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, from July 15th to 18th. I paid £21 for parking at the front desk (£7 per day). However, after I left, the hotel charged me an additional £60, claiming my car wasn't registered from July 17th to 18th. This, coupled with a £42 fine from the rental company, resulted in a total loss of £102 for me. I paid as they requested, and I have the receipt. This overcharge is completely inexplicable.

Let's talk about the downsides: 1. The windows don't close properly, so there's a draft, and the sound insulation is poor. 2. The bathroom sink is incredibly low – the lowest I've ever seen in a hotel, making it very inconvenient to use.

The hotel is nice, right by the pier. The room is spacious and clean, and the facilities are very new. The parking lot is huge, making it convenient to park. Downstairs, by the pier, there's an Indian buffet restaurant with a rich variety of dishes. They have dozens of curries, plus fried fish, fried chicken, fried vegetables, and fried prawns... They replenish items promptly, and everything is freshly prepared and fried in an open kitchen.

It was super! I really liked the food, though it was a bit strange that the toilet smelled of stale urine.
