We stayed here over new year. The check in was efficient and friendly. The rooms were nice and clean, the shower was excellent. I didn’t have breakfast here but others in our party said it was nice. It took us about 40mins to walk to the old town and once we‘d worked out the transport, we got 24-hr tickets and got the train from ellestrasße to Heinrich Heine station and back to save our legs. Added bonus is that Volksgarten Parkrun (every Saturday at 9am) is just a 15min max walk away.

PLUS - the "good" price (without breakfast) room clean with daily change of towels. MINUS - no night's sleep (heavily intoxicated guests turn the night into day) brutally excessive prices at the self-service machine. No breakfast to be booked later. On Sundays no possibility to add bread rolls. Too few staff, inflexible ... whatever ....

Ten minutes from the train station, but in the opposite direction to the city center, although it is close to a metro station. The correct room very well soundproofed, but quite basic. The attention by the correct staff. Low prices (€67.5/night) for what is in the city. Next time, we will look for other more central options.

Overall B&B standard. However somewhat outdated house. Only short curtains - certainly not well darkened in summer. Rooms facing the main street are very noisy with the windows open, but with the windows closed you can sleep well.

The B&B Düsseldorf City Süd is the first B&B I didn't immediately find my way around. The reason for this is that this used to be a different hotel and so at least my room was laid out very differently than is usual with B&Bs. The location is relatively central, a tram stops right in front of the door, but you still have to change trains to get to the city. However, there is a direct bus line to the main station in the side street. This makes the B&B Düsseldorf City Süd a good base for exploring the city. Furthermore, one must also mention that the employees were extremely friendly and courteous. B&B Düsseldorf City Süd, if you accept that you are in the city center and therefore at a major crossroads, you really can't go wrong here.
