Tambowie Farm

We stayed at Tambowie Farm B & B in August and had the most wonderful time. The B &B was exceptional, as was the owner Irene. She was extremely friendly, helpful and even dropped us at the local railway station one morning. Nothing was too much trouble and her breakfasts were to die for, particularly the poached eggs with parmesan! The rooms were finished to a very high standard, with unbelievable views over the surrounding mountains. A truly wonderful stay.

Superb location...with terrific views toward Lock Lomond and the Campsie Fells as well as overlooking Glasgow. Very clean and comfortable with great quality furnishings. Host,Irene, very engaging and helpful. Excellent breakfasts provided. Probably best have a car though there are accessable rail services . A true gem.

I stumbled across Tambowie B&B while looking for accommodation in Strathblane. Not sure about availability, I called and was greeted by Irene, who was courteous and professional, and very relaxed too. Ample safe parking and a room with a view was assured, and I duly made the nine hour drive from Essex. I was welcomed by Irene, who could not have been more helpful, showing me my lovely room with stunning views over The Campsie Hills, with a lovely, large bathroom too. I slept like a baby and enjoyed a superb Scottish breakfast in the morning, something I’d not had for years. I’m a very fussy eater, but Irene listens carefully and attends to details in the most perfect way. There are superb walks and cycle routes all around, or you can drive along to Loch Lomond, or pop into Glasgow to shop, perhaps organising a tour of Ibrox Stadium, the magnificent home of Rangers, the world’s most successful football club. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the fabulous environment that is Tambowie Farm, and will remember stunning sunrises, great views, Ollly the cat, those breakfasts and of course Irene, the star of the show. Simply The Best!
