Beautiful Downeast Maine Family Lakeside Rental!

The house was exactly as described, clean, and well stocked. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the wildlife in the lake. Excellent place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. We enjoyed the many state parks that are about a 30 minute drive from the house.

This house is the perfect place to stay in Maine. Situated by the lake on a quiet road, it is beautiful and peaceful. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable. My kids said it felt like a "home away from home" and I agree. The game room was perfect for my boys. My daughters loved the reading nook upstairs. One of my favorite spots was the covered porch that overlooks the yard towards the lake. I would probably have spent more time just sitting on that porch (I did take a couple of naps out there) if I had more time. The yard is beautifully laid out - a firepit to one side of the nicely mown grass with a path leading to the lake. The trees and native plants growing around the yard are simply beautiful. This property is private and peaceful. We went kayaking and made s'mores in the firepit. We visited Acadia a couple of days, but my kids absolutely loved the closer, quieter Jasper Beach. We went at low tide - this rock beach has an incredible variety of gorgeous rocks that my kids enjoyed discovering, and they even took lots of pictures of the rocks to remember. It was a foggy, overcast evening, which added to the charm. Communication with the host, Lucas, was quick and easy. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely return.
