Sheridan Guest House

This is a GREAT place to stay in while visiting Edinburgh. Great way to feel like you are not in the middle of tourist area but easily able to get to all the popular tourist spots and transportation hubs. The hosts are TOP NOTCH and the breakfast alone is custom made per order.

A warm welcome on arrival . I had questions on places to visit ,out comes a map full details where to go etc . A great help.. Hotel immaculate rooms light and airy very comfortable. Breakfast for the only vegetarian no problem. Great breakfast selection and a hot cooked breakfast as well. Great stay and perfect hosts. Bus literally across the road into the city 15 minutes. Recommend if 3 or more uber is better deal than the bus. Highly recommend hotel.Thank you for a really nice stay.

A very cosy and heartly guesthouse in between Leith and the city center, very close to the Leith water walkway. The hosts, Rowena and Tom are very friendly and can give many good advices where to eat and what to do. The breakfast is superbe and offers a wide range of menues, homemade by Rowena. The house and the room are nicely decorated with a lot of memorabilies of the owners, which travelled and lived in a lot of Asian countries.

Absolutely magical place! Absolutely charming place! Owners are super friendly. Ultra clean room (even bathroom was spotless), striking décor in the room and corridors, beautiful garden full of vibrant plants. Absolutely magical place!

You will never find more lovely and gracious hosts than Tom and Rowena, who go above and beyond for their guests at every turn. Beautifully appointed, comfortable, immaculate and quiet, SGH is undeniably an oasis after a busy day. There is easy access to center city with a bus stop across the street. The Royal Yacht, Britannia, restaurants and pubs are within walking distance. Rowena’s outstanding breakfast menu is not to be missed, and Tom can direct you easily to anywhere you want to go and also to places you didn’t know you wanted to go. You will truly enjoy a stay at Sheridan Guest House. We certainly did.

Our third stay, and already planning to stay next year. The location works perfectly for us, as it’s easy to get into the City, whether walking, or by bus/taxi. The rooms are lovely, and the whole house is sparkling clean and beautifully furnished. Tom and Rowena are exceptional hosts, and Rowena’s breakfasts are simply unbeatable. She can really cook! We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Enough said!
