Holiday Inn EDINBURGH by IHG

One of the worst experience ever! 09:30am house keeping knock despite the “Do not disturb” sign! Soft Pillows Alert! No support to your neck at all! The room was quite dirty, the toilet weren’t clean. The bed though is firm and good for my back. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless they just want a room next to the zoo. P.S. the chinese translation sign on just only one notice in the bathroom is weird. To look around the room, we could only find one sign with chinese translation, this maybe a potential discrimination case. Just a head up to anyone who may be offended before they book the stay.

Absolutely amazing. We arrived very late due to heavy snow- they checked us in and organised an extra bed literally within 2 minutes of arriving. The service is efficient and rapid. The gentleman who looked after our room in house keeping was awesome, he helped us settle in and the little touches to make the kids feel special was duly noted. The manager down on the reception desk was excellent. Everything is managed very well, there is no waiting and the service is outstanding. The view at breakfast is amazing! Mountains in the distance covered in snow. Our stay was better than expected. Parking ✅ Swimming pool and sauna ✅ Food ✅ Service ✅ The hotel location is convenient and the restaurant space is open plan and cosy yet very busy. The hotel does need some updated but everything works well. The location is literally next to the zoo and the overflow car park 🅿️ is next to the hotel. The staff here are outstanding. High praise. Thank you.

The hotel is located fairly centrally, catching buses from the bus stops as very convenient. The rooms with window have a good view and light the room well. It was a very comfortable stay.

Never staying here again, we booked a 2 night stay in this hotel and were expecting a relaxing and amazing stay but it was opposite. The room advertised on the app was totally different than what was given to us. The lady at the reception was not at all helpful, we asked for the room upgrade and we were happy to pay extra but she said nothing is available but it was showing available online.  This was the first time we had this experience and there were hair in bed and no wifi at all during the whole stay. We changed the room after trip customer support indulge between us and then had to stay without wifi and the mobile network was very poor, even when asked for the room service they just tucked in the bedsheet, nothing else was done.
