Novotel Edinburgh Park Reviews

No drinking water, no slippers, no toothbrush, no lotion. The value for money is low. Breakfast was also very mediocre, the worst among all the hotels I stayed at in the UK.

It was peak tourist season in Edinburgh in August, and accommodation was even more expensive than in London, so I reluctantly booked this place. The transportation is very convenient, right next to the train station and tram stop, and it takes 15 minutes to get into the city. However, the building is right next to the tracks, so it can be a bit noisy. There are also three large supermarkets across from the station with plenty of choices, so you can buy your own food. For restaurants, there's only KFC. The breakfast was decent, and the cleaning was timely. Overall, it offers pretty good value for money.

The room had a large bed and a sofa bed, and the bathroom was quite spacious. The tea bags were organic, and I particularly liked the Earl Grey. Wasan at the front desk was very welcoming. My only minor issue was that I had to ask for slippers twice and still didn't get them. Transportation is convenient with both tram and bus stops nearby. Right across from the hotel, there's a KFC and a donut shop with a variety of donuts. Not too far away, there's also a large, affordable supermarket, which offers cheaper groceries than those in the city center. The two small cookie packs in the room were delicious!

The sofa bed was already made, and the room was great. It's just a few minutes' walk from the train station, and there's a large supermarket nearby with good prices. The city center is only about a 10-minute train ride away with frequent services. The airport isn't far, and there's a direct tram, though it's not cheap. The breakfast was also excellent!

Great hotel located next to a tram and train stop for easy access to the city centre. Comfy beds, nice rooms, good showers and toiletries. Excellent breakfast. 15 minute tram ride to city centre. Highly recommended.

The location was comfortable and within a walking distance from the tram stop. It’s surrounded by couple of great places to shop and decent place to eat. The hotel staff was great and overall experience was pleasant

Novotel Edjnburgh is best hotel i must admit either comfortwise, cleanliness, leisures provided and most importantly location wise and a beautiful mountain view with snow covered from room. Adiitionally you will find major shops nearby 5 mins walk boyh food and amenities/cloth

This hotel positively surprised us. It's beautiful, full of amenities, and the staff were incredibly friendly both at check-in and in the restaurant/bar. The gym and pool are fantastic. It's super convenient for both the airport and getting to the city center, with a train ride taking only 10 minutes and the station just 50 meters from the hotel. Highly recommended!

It's a bit of a distance from the old and new towns, requiring two tram stops. While convenient, it does add to the transportation cost. The room and surroundings are decent, and breakfast was quite substantial.

Walking distance to retail park and tram station. Friendly service. Comfortable stay. Kids enjoy the swimming pool.

Overall stay was good. Location is nice. However a bar/restaurant staff behaved very rudely when I wanted to look around the restaurant because it was closed. Room was good but chair had dust on it

The location is convenient, only two train stops from the city center. The light rail was undergoing maintenance, so it only served a limited number of stations, which was a bit inconvenient. The light rail to the airport costs 7.9 per person, but a taxi is more cost-effective for two or more people. The facilities are comprehensive, and while the room was a bit small for a family, everything else was okay. I would book here again next time.
