The location is very convenient, close to train station and bus stops on Princess St. Free extra water, as long as you told the staff.

We were allocated rooms on the ground floor, near the reception on G Floor, in areas designated for guests with pets, even though we had none. Room number 10 was in deplorable condition, with accumulated dirt, and room 04 had the heater not working, making the environment quite cold. Additionally, the bedding was stained with blood, and one of the rooms seemed to have been used just minutes before our arrival. The experience at the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood was very disappointing.

I really enjoyed my four days. Wonderful hotel the team was very friendly and helpful at all times of the day. Great location easy to get to from the Station/airport. Good trams service along Princes Street. Plenty of buses along South Bridge which is a short walk. Enjoyed the spa facilities especially the swimming pool. The lounge near the reception area is a little chilly but a nice spot to relax with a warm drink. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would recommend. Rooms Good size room, fantastic shower and products. Bed was very comfortable. It was a tad cold so I requested a blanket which was very snug. Bonus having a fridge and complimentary water nice touch. Tea/coffee try was good but would be great to have some hot chocolate. Nearby activities Holyrood Palace and gardens on your doorstep along with great views of Arthur Seat. Five minutes walk to the Royal Mile. Food and drinks There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. I found the food a bit hit and miss to be honest. Breakfast is great with a great choice in food for all palettes. Warm friendly service.

The hotel is a little over a ten-minute walk from the station, which is acceptable. The service was neither good nor bad, and they wouldn't upgrade my room despite my platform order. I was given a room on the highest floor, the 6th, but there wasn't much of a view. The room was quite spacious, and the bedding was clean, but it was really annoying that they didn't provide slippers. When I asked for them at night, they said I could only get them in the morning.

Lovely hotel in Hollyrood, Edinburgh. Not too far from the centre or masses of places to eat. Staff were fantastic, especially during a really busy period with high expectations from tourists to the area as well. I was travelling alone, but made to feel very welcome especially in the restaurant and bar. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Just what you need to help with your stay. Leisure facilities were good, however, the pool area could do with a wee face lift and the addition of a steam room or jacuzzi would be beneficial for the size of/ use of the hotel. I had a hot stone massage and it was lovely and relaxing. Shout out to Katie at the spa, Jack and John in the restaurant and the lovely gentleman who che led me in at reception. Definitely a second stay coming up for me.

Mixed experience – not quite 4-star quality for the price I recently stayed at the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel and, unfortunately, had to request a room change upon arrival. The first room didn’t feel like what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel, especially at nearly £200 per night. It was very basic—no carpet, no robe, and no slippers. The room felt empty, more like a budget option than a premium stay. We were moved to another room, which did have a carpet, but it was essentially the same situation—still no slippers or robe etc. That said, there were a few positives: the location is great, the breakfast was really nice, and the pool itself was a good facility. Overall, I might stay here again, but only if the price reflects the actual experience. At this rate, I expected a bit more attention to detail and comfort.

Need sleepers in room .. the rest is ok

Not recommended. We paid high rates due to holidays but the room quality and the general atmosphere were not worth that money. Nothing amazing I wanted to add here.

Perfect space in the room with everything you need. Hotel is located next to the Scottish Parliament and there are nearby restaurants and a local tesco nearly. I’d recommend this hotel.

Excellent staff, clean room and convenient location make Edinburgh’s Marriott Hotel Holyrood one like no other. The receptionist made a provision for me to check in early at 9:30 am and for me that was a major relief as I traveled by train from London and really needed to rest. Thank you to the impeccable room service as well that made it a relaxing time for me.

Location is good and service provided is satisfactorily

It’s generally good for a short stay. The staff are helpful. Location is convenient to walk around the old town of Edinburgh, where we loved it very much. However, do remember to bring your own slippers when staying in this hotel.

Lovely hotel & service. Pool is small and I would expect a better quality of breakfast.
