Antler Guest House

Beautiful room which was well maintained and clean. About 1 mile from the train station so close to the main shopping areas and old town, but far enough away to be nice and peaceful. The host was lovely and left us to it, which is exactly how we like it. Only very small negative was the shower, which didn’t have a great deal of pressure, but wasn’t a problem in the grand scheme of things. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you.

Room was beautifully clean and comfortable. We loved the little extras of whiskey and chocolates, in addition to the selection of teas and biscuits.

My partner and I stayed here for two nights during a visit to Edinburgh to see Riverdance. The house is set on a quiet road off Leith Walk. On arriving at the house we were greeted by a lovely lady called Margaret who warmly welcomed us and showed us to our room which was beautiful. The style of this guest house is traditional with lots of modern and contemporary elements which was particularly evident in our room. It had a gorgeous little snug area down a couple of steps from the main room which led to a beautiful shower room/toilet. Along with tea and coffee making facilities we had little snacks, and some whisky in a mini decanter with cute little glasses. The ambiance in the house is perfect especially when arriving back in the evening as the lighting in the hallway is cosy and welcoming. Our room was immaculate and the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. It was a joy to stay here and we would most certainly return for another visit to Edinburgh.

A beautiful property within walking distance to the main attractions of Edinburgh. Shirley provided a map and advice on surrounding eateries and attractions. Our room was beautifully furnished and we were supplied with a selection of nibbles. A lovely place.

Lovely weekend stay Antler Guest House was ideally located for our weekend stay in Leith. The No. 11 bus put us practically at the door and having the tram nearby was great. There are loads of places to eat and drink nearby. We liked the Brunswick Book Club with its heated outside terrace and La Casa (although the latter isn’t ideal for people with hearing difficulties - all hard surfaces means it’s incredibly noisy, but the food was very nice). Shirley and Margaret are great hosts who took time to make sure we had everything we needed. The house in general is lovely and our room was very impressive, beautifully decorated and with some really thoughtful touches. My husband in particular enjoyed the ‘wee dram’ that was provided and the information folder was very helpful. For me I was very happy to find there was a proper hairdryer provided, which would save me having to pack my own in future. Thanks for a lovely stay. We would definitely return.
