The overall environment and facilities are good, but the two bath towels in the bathroom were dirty.

Fantastic! It's super convenient for getting around! You can reach the castle and old town within 20 minutes, all on foot. If you get tired, there's a bus stop right outside! The lobby, though small and lacking the grandeur of a five-star hotel, is very stylishly designed! The elevator is also quite cozy. Our room was small but spotless, not a single hair anywhere. Although we were given a very quiet room, we couldn't open the curtains because there was construction going on outside, and frankly, there wasn't much of a view anyway. The breakfast was a standard English spread. They had a great variety of cereals, but you need to go early, otherwise, the bread selection runs out quickly!

The facilities were clean and the service was warm and welcoming. They even gave me a complimentary welcome cocktail. I didn't have much luggage, so I just walked from the train station to the hotel. If you have a lot of bags, I'd recommend taking a taxi. Like most hotels abroad, they don't provide slippers or toothbrushes. I didn't opt for breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of all the Edinburgh attractions, and there's a bus stop right outside and a supermarket nearby, which was very convenient.

The room is spacious and convenient, but it's really expensive.

Its 15 min walk from city center. You can hear everything from a room next to yours. Our room wasn’t really cleaned, just changed towels and made bed. No refill of toilet paper… really?? No refill coffee… Bed is small and sheets had some stains as well as floor. Bathroom smalll and uncomfortable. When we left out bags on checkout day no ticket is given. We left it in room with many other bags. Room was not locked and not supervised. When we asked receptionist about security he had no clue…. Thanks god our bags were there when we came back. We would not come back to this hotel.

I stayed at Moxy for four nights. To be honest, the reception staff provided good service and a warm welcome, including a welcome drink, which I appreciated. However, I was disappointed with the room cleanliness. When I checked the duvet, I found it was very dirty, with many yellow stains. I requested that housekeeping change it. The electric kettle in the room was also very dirty inside, with large visible stains. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos at the time. More importantly, when I requested room cleaning, I waited nearly two hours without any service. The front desk staff informed me that the housekeeping team was not responding to messages. While I understand operational challenges can happen, I believe guests should be kept informed in a timely manner. Overall, I feel that the housekeeping standards and responsiveness need improvement.

To be honest, the hotel is quite small and the location isn't great, but the price is acceptable.

The hotel is a bit far from the attractions, and its design is quite stylish and modern, making it suitable for younger guests. For this price point, the facilities feel a bit basic, especially for families with children, as the room seemed a bit cramped. Perhaps it's the season, but it didn't feel like good value for money.

Receptionist abrupt and unwelcoming. Room was tiny beds were supposed to be twin but I think they were children’s single. Room smelt really bad had view of nothing but scaffolding.  Corridors were dark and paint/carpet colours exacerbated this. Paid £232.00 for one night excluding breakfast. Would not recommend and would certainly never go back.

Moxy is perfectly located, super close to bus stops which took us everywhere we wanted to go in the 4 days we spent there. The room is very clean but rather small. We could only have one suitcase open at a time, but we managed. The common area at the lobby is a nice place to do some work but the music is usually too loud.  The crew manning the front desk/bar on the first few days (29/6. 30/6 weren’t friendly but the new team who served us on 1/7 was friendly and warm).  We would consider coming back to Moxy.
