The hotel is conveniently located at the foot of Edinburgh's Notting Hill (likely a mistranslation of 'Old Town' or a specific area near Edinburgh Castle), about a 10-minute walk from the train station. The room decor is classic, and I particularly liked the traditional-style curtains. The only downside was being on the 5th floor, as the elevator only goes up to the 3rd floor, so I had to carry my luggage up and down two flights of stairs.

Lovely hotel, I had a great stay here. The rooms were lovely and big and I loved the decor. The reception lobby has a lovely fireplace. The staff at the reception were amazing, very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be going back to stay again in the future :)

Location is very convenient, right in the centre of Edinburgh. Room was comfortable and quiet. No fridge or coffee machine, just a kettle and sachets of instant coffee and tea bags. I requested a shaving kit and some slippers from front desk but they were not available. Room was cleaned each day, although I saw a chocolate wrapper under my side table that must have come from a previous guest. Overall, a little basic but it met our needs as we spent all day outdoors.

I did not stay at this hotel because I booked a wrong date a month ago. Although I applied for a change of booking right after I made the wrong booking in April, the hotel refuses to make any changes or refund no matter whatever I or the agency say. This is a pure rip off and you could see the nature of this hotel and its operators. There are too many options in Edinburgh, please save your self some potential trouble!!!

Found the hotel a really nice sta. Fantastic location very close to Waverley. Didn’t get breakfast so can’t comment on food/service but everything else was great. Will be looking to stay there again next time I’m in Edinburgh.
