Nancy and the heavily made-up auntie who did the cleaning provided excellent service. The washing machine and dishwasher in my original room, 27 on the second floor, were broken. They later moved me to room 23, where the appliances worked, though they were a bit old. However, when I went to shower at night, I found the hot and cold water taps were broken and I couldn't adjust the temperature at all. There was no one at the front desk at night, and the water was scalding hot. I informed the staff on Saturday morning, but it still wasn't fixed when I returned that evening. It remained broken until I checked out on Tuesday. I don't know how I managed to get through those days with only scalding hot water. There's a bar downstairs, and I was woken up twice on the first night by the noise. On another night, I was woken up at 12 AM by people celebrating a birthday.

This hotel offers self check-in, so you'll need to contact them in advance for the door code. There's an elevator available. It's about a 20-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station. Many of the room's facilities were damaged, but luckily the washing machine worked, which was a lifesaver for doing laundry. The cleanliness was just so-so.

We had already stayed for 3 nights, and because we were taking the 11:00 PM Caledonian Sleeper train, we booked an additional day. It was excellent! Perfect for longer stays! 😊

The room has a washing machine, so we could do laundry every day, which was perfect for two people. The heating was excellent, and the location is very central.
