Stewart by Heeton Concept – Aparthotel Edinburgh Reviews

This hotel offers self check-in, so you'll need to contact them in advance for the door code. There's an elevator available. It's about a 20-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station. Many of the room's facilities were damaged, but luckily the washing machine worked, which was a lifesaver for doing laundry. The cleanliness was just so-so.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stayed at Stewart by Heeton Concept for 2 days and I would absolutely love to come back in the future! The apartment was spotless — no dust, no bed bugs, fresh clean bedsheets, and a tidy washroom. Everything was well-maintained and made for a really comfortable stay. It truly felt like a great place to relax and unwind. The only two things I’d mention as areas for improvement: the check-out time of 10:30 AM felt a little early, and a few basic toiletry amenities like toothpaste, a toothbrush, and slippers were missing. Everything else was provided and well-stocked. Overall a fantastic stay and highly recommended. Will definitely be returning! 😊

We had already stayed for 3 nights, and because we were taking the 11:00 PM Caledonian Sleeper train, we booked an additional day. It was excellent! Perfect for longer stays! 😊

The property's best attribute is its location, walking distance to Princes Street and the Royal Mile. The building has a nice historical fascade. We had a family room for three which was comfortable albeit a little dated. The reception staff were very helpful / pleasant. We were able to get a late check out and leave our bags in a storeroom onsite, which was handy as we had a late train back to London. We'd recommend staying here.

The room has a washing machine, so we could do laundry every day, which was perfect for two people. The heating was excellent, and the location is very central.

A good size and good looking room. The check in communication could have been improved. The dryer in my room did not work, although the washing machine was working. I felt I wasted a lot of time trying the dryer as no sign was displayed.

I didn’t know that i had to memorise a pin code to access, now check in desk also they over booked my paid stay to someone else

I was very satisfied with my stay here. The hotel's overall environment was clean and tidy, and the room was cozy and comfortable. The bedding was high quality, allowing me to sleep very soundly. The location was also very convenient, making it easy to get around and find places to eat.

everytg was amazing. we struggled to check in (after 5pm) and there was no staff. we reached abt 10pm at night and was left stranded at the door, no access code given at all to enter main gate … called and contacted property but no one picked up. if ur not going to have a 24/7 reception, at least make sure u hv someone tending to emergency help… after what was 30mins of waiting and calling did a guest walk down to open the door for us … horrible check in experience but everytg else was good

Very nice location, however cleanliness needs improvement. Under sofa bed and chairs are quite dirty.

Easy check in and check out. Location: close to attractions, old town and new town.

The table and sofas were dirty , dirty glasses. Otherwise the property and location was good!

Online the pics look great. We got there and it actually looks like it needs a deep cleaning. Walls dirty, top layer of everything looking a little grimly, and musty smell. Tried opening the window and only cracks open in both rooms about 6 inches. Went to cook and utensils and pots had food on them. So we questioned if anything was sanitary. The bathroom tile was all listed and dangerous to step in or you can trip or stub your toes. Tub was insanely high. I’m a tall woman and I had to be careful getting in and out. Can’t imagine it being safe for shorter people children or those with limits. On top of that tub is super slippery. No bath mat or anything. Shower door covered half the tub so water came out all over the floor. Only one roll of half used toilet paper. There isn’t a service staff there in the evening and when we went to check out the box of supplies they leave out with extras, it was empty. They mop the floor in the morning and it’s all muddy but not only that it’s dangerous because there was no sign in front of the door to the hallway I came out of and fell hard on my knees. No one else’s me until I looked distressed even though I fell in front of the service managers window and she and someone were watching. I had to ask for ice. No help. Last but not least we selected this hotel because it had a car park- when we arrived it was broken. Parking is expensive otherwise. I posted a sign of the average cost, and the metered parking in front is coin operated only and we got two tickets because there are parking monitors on top of each street. We spent an insane amount overall for a one start quality hotel and regret having a car because of the inconvenience of their lack of parking that was promoted. I recommend to stay anywhere else or right outside of the center.
