This was our second stop in a three Fletcher Hotel road trip of the Netherlands and was our base to visit Floriade and was a four-night package with dinner on the first and third nights. The hotel is in the refurbished and active harbour area of Huizen and beautifully landscaped. The room wasn't ready on our arrival at 18h00 but we were given a welcome drink in the bar by way of compensation. The staff were very polite and friendly but we suspect the breakfast staff and housekeeping staff were overstretched as breakfast was a little chaotic (particularly if arriving later); and our room wasn't serviced every day. The inclusive dinner was in the form of a tasting menu: excellent quality but small portions (barring the dessert). We also ate at the Italian restaurant which we can also recommend. Our main quibble with the room, although attractive and comfortable, was that it was not dark enough at night due to the nautical porthole on the door. This is a multi-building complex with separate accommodation blocks. We didn't find this a problem and could drive the car to load and unload. We took our own bikes and used the storage facility provided: good but only one key which had to be collected from and returned to reception - perhaps a rethink on that? We felt that package was very good value with a bottle of wine on departure. We would definitely recommend the hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for one night only, but I was very happy with the quality of the room, the restaurant/bar and the breakfast. Rooms are really big, windows can be opened, but also opened just a bit for fresh air, without giving persons form outside the possibility to open the window form the outside. I fellt safe, which sleeps better... The breakfast offer was very complete, with the option of live cooking for a nice omelette or even pancakes. Great choice of very good bread either. Easy check in and check out. Parking just in front of the entrance and offering enough places. I would definitely stay here again. Friendly staff, everything well cleaned.

Great Hilton near Amersfoort. Rooms are great and with some excellent views over the Golf Course (from your Balcony 😎) Rooms are spacious and have a modern decor. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is good (apart from the Scrambled egg which is a bit hard/over-cooked 😕) and the Restaurant has a nice chilled feeling, so a great way to start the morning. The staff are really helpful (I forgot my Adapter and they found one for me 👍). The hotel is a bit out of the way, so you'll really need a car, but it's seclusion is what makes it so good 👍

I had a terrible experience in this hotel at the end of August. Someone(s) broke into my room for 2 consecutive days with my door confirmed locked. The hotel didn't treat me seriously, they couldn't provide any convincing explanation or compensation. I went there for a business trip and had booked this hotel for 10 nights. The break in incident happened in the early morning 5:30am after my first sleep. I heard someone tried to open my door, but because I had locked it, so the intruder shaked the handle a few times, and eventually it did open!!! I went down and reported to the reception directly and asked if there was any CCTV. The staff said she didn't know...had to wait for her colleague to come back to answer me in the evening....by then i was told that there was no CCTV in this hotel...and they admitted it was one of their staff who broke into my room!!! I requested an explanation, the front desk only said it would not happen again. I requested to meet the duty manager, she said the manager would talk to me tomorrow....this is how they treated this security issue and code of conduct ”seriously”. Totally unacceptable. I could only go back to my room for the 2nd night. But then at 7:15am in the next morning, there was someone broke into my room again!! With a loud door closing sound, which i even more confirmed then the first time. The intruder went out as well before showing his/her face. It was unbelievable!!! I reported to the front desk again but they seemed not believe in me. Said it was not their staff this time and it was impossible to unlock the door with other cards. Long story short, it took me a whole day again in order to talk to the duty manager. And i personally showed her how to unlock my door using her card. She was finally speechless and arranged a new room for me. She said would investigate But I still could not receive a solid explanation in the next day and really felt unsafe. I was not able to sleep well and was super alert to different sounds. The next day the GM finally met me, but then still no compensation or with any gesture of apology. Didn't feel i was treated seriously so I decided to change the hotel for personal safety. They still charged me the fee for the 3 days. This was my worst hotel experience ever. Warm and welcoming staff in the reception, gave me a feeling of love right from the beginning. After five days here I realized the Hotel has a lot of staff with an admirable team spirit. In the Restaurant you can experience a delicious ambience. The food is directed by two chefs - a man and a woman, and you can taste it in a delightful nutritious 360 degrees senses experience. I spoke with Isabelle and Mirabel, both serving at the tables, who were so warm. There are many young people working at the Hotel. I had a sense of feeling the owner of the Hotel in the ambience - as if he was present with us, sharing his home. If you take the train from the airport, there's Bus 381 from the train station Driebergen- Zeist to a bus stop at the door of the Hotel. It takes twenty minutes. This same Bus 381 can also drive you to the center of Zeist. It's a small bus and from four trips i experienced, in two i was alone in the other two, with only one person. So, it's a kind of private transfer. The cost of each trip is 3,10. If you want to just feel embraced by life, the indoors swimming pool is warm and there's also sauna and steam bath. The water in the Netherlands is the best i know on Europe - to shower and smooth the skin and even to drink - and I'm very demanding with drinking water. This makes the swimming pool experience even more special. Even though the Hotel is near everything, it's in the woods and you can do wonderful walks around. One time i decided to walk to Zeist and it was a very refreshing fifty minutes stroll near the woods. In the comfortable rooms (don't know about the others) they have cups, some tea bags and a kettle you can use (also for drinking warm water). This has become my Hotel in Zeist. Thank you for the home feeling.

We were on a coach trip from 17th - 21st April. Unfortunately my husband fell ill the day before we were to leave & had to go to hospital near by, they operated on him on Friday. I would just like to say that all the Berghotel staff went beyond making my extended stay very comfortable and they helped me by sending emails & printing documents out, nothing was too much trouble. I thanked them all.

Excellent location, close to the railway station, a supermarket and city center. Very friendly and professional staff. Clean and well equipped rooms. Staying on the 6th floor gave me a nice view of the sunrise. It exceeded my expectations!

Room at the front with lovely view of the old town hall. But disadvantage is the noise in the nights on the weekends. Despite an excellent location the hotel is situated next to ‘bar street’ in Zeist. Rooms are spacious but no fridge. Towels need upgrading. Had a few drinks in the Grand Cafe downstairs and was unable to charge this to room. Had to go upstairs to collect purse. Not guest friendly. Very sp**** on coffee and tea in room. Had to ask for extra every day. Staff is friendly and helpful.
