What an experience! A wonderful romantic hotel (swiss historic hotels), located directly on the Rheim, about 500 years old. As soon as you arrive you can feel the warmth of the house. Although the terrace was closed due to Corona, we still enjoyed the welcome aperitif in the room. In the evening, a wonderful 4-course menu in the Belle Epoque Hall with a choice of starter, main course and dessert and excellent wine advice. So we have once again discovered wonderful wines from the region (Sauvignon Blanc from Eglisau and a Pinot Noir from the neighborhood). Of course, the rooms also reflect the history of the house. Spacious rooms and suites (only 7 rooms in total), our Hirschsprung double room with a view of the Rhine. Slept well, quiet due to the location but also no neighbor noises. In the morning then an extensive breakfast (served) with a selection of egg dishes, muesli, cheese, cold cuts, bread, etc., all of the best quality. All in all a very nice stay, we can recommend the hotel without reservation.
