Buena's Haven Travelodge

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days and loved everything about it. It was clean, the room was serviced every 3 days, and towels were changed twice. We really enjoyed our stay, though there were chickens in the neighboring building, and if you're a light sleeper, they might bother you. But compared to other hotels that cost 3000 rubles a night, this one is super. The air conditioning worked well, and there was coffee and tea available. El Nido itself is very noisy, but it was peaceful here. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the road. We rented a motorbike and were able to visit Vanilla Beach and Nacpan Beach everywhere.

Pros: Friendly staff, hot water. Cons: Everything was very old and worn, the bathroom was full of gnats that flew into the room, and it was very damp and smelled accordingly. It was very noisy from the generator outside the window, roosters and dogs, and the road. Our room was on the first floor, number 9. Behind our door was the reception and kitchen. Someone was cooking in the kitchen in the morning, and all the smells wafted into our room, along with the noise from the kitchen and reception; everyone started talking loudly there early. In short, it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. There was no oxygen in the room, so the air conditioner simply circulated our air for two days, and we caught a cold there. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel due to the lack of cleanliness, air quality, noise, and location near the road. Overall, the area was so-so; we really regretted not staying in El Nido itself. Another minute, the Wi-Fi there was very bad, it barely worked, and the mobile internet didn't work in the room.

I spent six days at this hotel. It's clean, the staff is helpful, and the room is simple but comfortable. The water is heated by the sun, but if the weather is cloudy, you can ask for the heater to be turned on, so a warm shower is possible. The water quality was excellent, with no unpleasant odors or impurities. Free coffee on every floor and traditional pastries were a nice bonus. I received a complimentary compliment from the hotel upon check-in, which isn't always the case, even at upscale hotels. Corong Beach is across the street; it's not suitable for swimming, but you can enjoy the sunset. The hotel is located on a main road, but the noise level is noticeably lower than in central El Nido. Yes, the roosters in this area are very vocal, but that's not the hotel's fault; you can encounter this anywhere in the Philippines. I didn't use the TV or air conditioning; the fan was sufficient. The Wi-Fi signal in the room was sufficient for viewing photos and videos. One inconvenience was the lack of a closet or shelving unit; I had to hang my clothes on chairs. There are also no outlets in the bathroom or near the bed.

We stayed at this hotel from March 27th to March 4th. The staff was very friendly. We stayed on the 3rd floor. The room had a fan in addition to air conditioning. Tea and coffee were available 24 hours a day. We arrived early but were able to check in by lunchtime, which was very nice as we were tired from the journey. I recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay. The walk to the beach takes about 5 minutes, and everything you need is nearby: shops, cafes, a laundromat, and even a hospital. We booked a family room.

The hotel is very nice and very clean. Don't rely on the ground floor where the reception is, because it's very messy. The bathroom on the ground floor is really messy and dirty, but they let us use it before leaving for the airport, so you don't look a gift horse in the mouth, as they say. But I would recommend improving this aspect. Clean rooms and excellent air conditioning, although difficult to adjust. Efficient and useful bathrooms. They also provided complimentary pan di Sal in the morning and coffee. Very nice and helpful staff, and I really liked the location. The roosters crow at all hours, as they do throughout the Philippines. I would probably install more soundproofing on the windows.
