Clean, great service and view! 20 minute uber drive to el Tunco and surf city, they offer transportation services as well . Food was delicious, would recommend and come back!

Pool and view are the best parts, the poolside bar is neat too. The rooms weren't good, very much not the "4.5" star resort experience this app makes you think of. Dirty walls, poor decor, everything unplugged, you have to communicate what you want/need through WhatsApp lol, no room service to speak of. Bathrooms are small.

We stayed at El Xalli Hotel as a family with two kids (9 and 11 years old) and very much enjoyed our stay. We loved the 2-bedroom unit we rented — it was spacious, comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. The complimentary Pilates and yoga classes were such a nice bonus, and the staff were incredibly friendly throughout our stay. We also felt very safe at the property. A few things to consider if traveling with kids: although the apartments have a kitchen, the hotel is somewhat located in a food desert. El Zonte is about a 20-minute walk away, where you can find a few basics like bread and fruit, but the nearest grocery store is about a 20-minute drive. The onsite food was good but somewhat limited. Breakfast included 3 options (one being a fruit bowl), plus a few additional items. Dinner options are only available on Fridays and Saturday. However you can order food from Michanti for a small delivery fee, which we did one night, and it was delicious and affordable. There are lots of good restaurants in El Zonte and Ubers were generally easy to get, though options became more limited after 7 pm. Once we thought we had to walk back to the hotel in the dark, but ended up finding an Uber driver after a 20 min wait. Overall, these are simply things to be aware of and did not take away from how much we enjoyed our stay. We would absolutely return!

The place was a little confusing to find but someone came out right away to guide us and help us to our room. Our room was better than we expected with a beautiful view. All the employees there were so nice and attentive. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

Our 9-day stay at El Xalli was truly lovely. From the very beginning, communication with the staff was seamless and welcoming, even before we arrived. Once there, everyone made us feel right at home with their kindness and attentiveness. Although I didn’t catch everyone’s name, Erick was especially helpful and responsive during our stay, which we really appreciated. One of our favorite parts was enjoying breakfast in our room each morning. The Desayuno Típico was a standout, the Grand Slam was good, and the Power Smoothie was delicious. They were out of açaí during our visit, so we didn’t get to try the bowls—but that just gives us something to look forward to next time. The housekeeping team did a great job, and we appreciated how well the space was maintained. The views were beautiful, and the pools appeared clean for the most part. The only downside was the presence of red ants around the property. Since we were traveling with a service dog, that was a bit of a concern. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return.

This is our second time to stay at this property absolutely beautiful place well taken care of the staff is excellent the food and drinks are made to order a good price they will delivered to your room if you like.There are two pools a lot of seating lounge chairs two bbq grills the staff will provide bbq charcoal and light for you just ask Pretty much anything you want just ask the staff they will help you with directions,restaurants guide services where to go to get good deals they will treat you like family

The room was perfect and the view was impeccable. I loved the separate rooms and that it came with a kitchen with full amenities. The A/C in the room was very cold I loved every moment I spent here for my birthday!

Amazing staff and we had great stay. The swimming pool was warm, it was so nice to swim in the evening.

El Xalli is a wonderful hotel and an amazing place to relax and recharge. You are close enough to walk to El Zonte, but far enough away from any of the crowds to be able to relax. The food at the hotel was amazing, particularly the breakfast! In addition, the staff goes above and beyond to help with anything you need, and will use WhatsApp to communicate. Lastly, the hotel set up transportation through Alejandro, and he was an amazing driver. He took us all over the place and we felt safe and got to see local sites that we would have otherwise missed. I highly recommend this hotel! Thanks for everything; we hope to return some day!
