This guesthouse is nestled deep in the mountains, requiring a long drive on winding roads to reach. The rooms offer a beautiful view overlooking the reservoir. Because of its remote, mountainous location, the rooms can be a bit damp, and there are quite a few insects – it's a truly natural environment. However, there's absolutely nothing else around, so staying for more than a day might get a bit boring.

A place never regret to stay! Nice view, nice place and nice hospitality- owner was so nice that fetched us few times between station, attractions and city, what a nice service! Lucky that owner invited for a tea session - enjoying the home-growth tea, must try! What truly stood out was the service. The guesthouse is nestled halfway up the mountain, and the owners not only provided shuttle service to and from the train station but also offered daily pick-ups and drop-offs for our trips to local attractions – incredibly thoughtful! Secondly, the room's cleanliness was impeccable; it was exceptionally clean, even surpassing some hotels I've stayed in. All the room facilities are part of a smart home system, with Xiaodu (a smart assistant) effortlessly handling all our needs. The mattress was super comfortable, and combined with the fresh, negative-ion-rich mountain air, we truly slept soundly through the night. Then there were all the various small animals and plants: cats, dogs, ducklings, turkeys, geese, frogs, a tea garden, and an array of fruit trees, vegetables, and corn. Honestly, you could easily spend several enjoyable days here without needing to venture out. The children had the wonderful experience of picking and processing tea themselves. Although it was an on-and-off activity throughout the day, they eventually harvested their own prepared tea, which gave them a tremendous sense of accomplishment. Lastly, the local home-style stir-fries provided by the owners were absolutely delicious – we cleaned our plates every single day! I've already made plans with the owner to stay here again on my next visit to Emei! A special thanks to the owner and the kind young lady at the front desk for their attentive help. They even assisted me in re-planning our return journey, saving the elderly and children from any unnecessary hassle. This is genuinely the best guesthouse experience I've ever had!

The nearby protected 'Guanyin Lake' is perfect for fishing, and guests can also enjoy a BBQ on the terrace. The rooms are clean and tidy, featuring full smart controls and exquisite, well-appointed facilities. The owner is incredibly warm and hospitable, the proprietress is gentle and gracious, and the front desk staff are meticulous and attentive. Honestly, it's a truly heavenly experience, like a secluded paradise on earth!

Work had been so hectic, I needed a break to clear my head. I stumbled upon this guesthouse by Guanyin Lake, and what an unexpected gem it turned out to be! The surroundings are beautiful; you can wake up to the sunrise and see Guanyin Lake right outside your window. The host was incredibly accommodating, offering pick-up and drop-off service and even arranging a BBQ for us. It was a truly memorable and relaxing experience. I'll definitely come back in a different season next time, as there are different fruits to enjoy to your heart's content throughout the year!

I first visited this place when the weather was just turning warm. That time, I stumbled upon it and booked it by pure chance, only staying one night due to time constraints. This time, I specifically booked three nights and invited my travel buddy to come relax here again. At night, the natural white noise helps me fall asleep quickly and soundly. No alarm clock needed in the morning; I was woken up by the birds. Then, I'd get up, head to the mountain for some fresh air, enjoy a special breakfast prepared by the guesthouse, and brew a cup of tea we picked and processed ourselves. Seriously, what an idyllic life this is! A huge thank you to the owner for taking us fruit picking; we were so lucky to taste the absolute freshest fruits! He also took us tea picking and taught us how to roll, ferment, and pan-fry the tea. It made us realize how tea is truly made, and I'll never complain about tea prices again, hahaha. And another special thanks to the owner for helping us two foodie girls prepare the BBQ ingredients. We woke up from our afternoon nap, and he had already set up the grill for us – what an incredible host! The front desk staff was also incredibly nice. During our chat, she learned I'm a bit of a clean freak, so she made a point to only restock amenities and empty the trash daily, respecting my preference. It truly felt wonderful how they anticipated our needs at every single step. I have so many photos, so many videos, and so many wonderful memories. After spending a few days here, I truly feel this is the kind of life we all need.

We even learned to pick and process tea, and he shared various exquisite teas with us. The biggest highlight, however, was the food! Dishes prepared with their own organically grown vegetables and free-range local chicken, not to mention the fantastic barbecue on the terrace… every bite was a true, authentic taste of the mountain wilderness! Time truly slows down here. We spent hours on the terrace watching the clouds drift by, went exploring for hidden mountain treasures with the owner, encountered various adorable small animals, chatted away with friends, enjoyed tea and music, and simply reveled in the pure joy of it all. As a thoughtful parting gift, the owner even gave us some of his personally made tea, allowing us to bring a piece of this exquisite fragrance home with us. I absolutely adored this place. It's the kind of B&B that leaves such a lasting impression, you'll want to visit again and again. I've never experienced a weekend this perfect. Waking up to the kiss of Guanyin Lake's shimmering ripples in the morning, and falling asleep to the lullaby of rustling bamboo at night. This smart B&B, nestled like a scene from a traditional ink wash painting, perfectly embodied my vision of a beautiful life and a sanctuary for my soul. The owner is like a mind-reading magician. One afternoon, he handed my wife and me bamboo baskets and tools, and led us on an exciting bamboo shoot hunt in the forest – we were as thrilled as children! Then, as if by magic, he presented my mother-in-law with a special bamboo basket for cherries. As the mountain breeze gently swayed the branches, letting ruby-red 'jewels' tumble, her smile was so sweet it seemed to fill every wrinkle around her eyes with joy. As dusk descended, the rooftop terrace transformed into a galaxy theatre. I brought out the owner's astronomical telescope. The mountain breeze, laden with the scent of bamboo, brushed against her hair. Our earnest gazes seemed to merge with the myriad stars above, as if a Moonlight Bodhisattva watched over the devout young couple on the terrace. As morning light once again streamed through the 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows, the moonlight and starlight had transformed into the gentle ripples of Guanyin Lake. It was as if, after a long journey of compassionate sailing, we had finally reached a safe harbor. Sitting on the sofa by the window, I made a wish to Guanyin Lake: I wished time would slow down, slow enough to calm the tumultuous waves within my heart; yet I also wished it would speed up, fast enough to whisk my wife and mother-in-law to breakfast right away – not just today, but every single day. Is this even a B&B? It’s clearly a fairytale meticulously crafted by a dream weaver. Bring your loved one to this mountain retreat where the stars wink at you; bring your elders to savor the pastoral charm aged by time; and bring yourself to fulfill the grand vows made in a past life. The first spring waters, the burgeoning spring forests, a ten-mile spring breeze... none are as captivating as this.

We stayed in a family room, which was incredibly spacious and fully equipped with smart features. It even had a small private courtyard and offered expansive, beautiful views of the entire Guanyin Lake. The service was absolutely outstanding! Just tell the owner what you need in advance, and they'll take care of all the arrangements perfectly. In just one short day, we managed to enjoy so many activities: digging for bamboo shoots, picking cherries and mulberries, fishing by the lake, and a barbecue. The cherries were super sweet! We learned that if you visit earlier in the season, you can forage for Houttuynia cordata (also known as fish mint), though it's already past its prime now. And if you come a bit later, there will be loquats and plums to pick – truly a lot of fun! The entire guesthouse environment was exceptionally beautiful, comfortable, and tranquil. It's the perfect place to quietly sip tea, enjoy the mountain breeze, and simply unwind and relax. The owner also boasts a large tea plantation where guests can pick tea leaves, and the tea itself is absolutely delightful!
