The location was excellent and within walking distance of many of Ensenada's main attractions, making it very convenient for sightseeing and exploring the city.
Unfortunately, the dining experience did not meet our expectations. The included breakfast options were very basic, and while the menu offered a reasonable variety of items, we found the overall food quality to be below average.
One particular issue we encountered involved breakfast service. On two separate occasions, we specifically requested our eggs to be cooked "over easy" (in Spanish), which was this item was from the menu. However, both times the eggs were served "sunny side up" instead. We are not sure whether the request was not properly communicated to the kitchen or simply disregarded, but it was disappointing to receive the wrong order twice.
The overall level of customer service was also below average. The staff often appeared inattentive and lacked the hospitality and customer service skills one would expect from a hotel. At times, their demeanor came across as unfriendly or indifferent. Having traveled extensively throughout Mexico, we were surprised by this experience, as we have consistently received warm and attentive service in other destinations.
While the hotel's location is certainly a strong advantage, improvements in food quality, attention to guest requests, and customer service training would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.
