Friendly staff always willing to help no matter I have no complaints. Just back from a week there. Where they will take you to your apparent min a wee buggy which is good they will also pick you up if you wave them down. Was good for me as I have asthma and so of the road is quite steep

1. People are routinely reserving the sun beds with their towels and then not coming back to actually use the sun-beds for hours at a time; no staff around to monitor or stop this from happening. 2. No one round the pool asking if anyone wants any drinks 3. Very few of the sunshades are actually functional because most have lost the metal pins that are needed to keep them up. Under half actually usable. Also no staff around to help put them up; they are heavy and require two people, one to hold it up whilst the other person puts the pin in. 4. Two snooker tables in the main part of the hotel but all but one of the snooker cues have the tops broken off of them so can’t be used. The one remaining (barely) working one has to be shared amongst players which essentially means only one of the snooker tables can actually be used by people. 5. No caramel for caramel lattes which was a shame. 6. The mountain/cliff the hotel and rooms are spread out and it is so steep it is impossible for anyone to get to and from their room and the main area of the hotel or down to the beach without using either the cable-car type lift or the golf-cart taxi service. There aren’t enough people driving the golf carts (usually only one being driven at any one time, two at a push) to ensure there isn’t at least a 10 minute wait each time a journey is needed, and the cable car wait when it’s working, is extremely slow (15mins wait time +); also only 8 people are able to safely fit in the cable car at any one time so if it arrives on your level there is no guarantee you will actually be able to travel in it. This hotel site is not recommended for anyone with reduced mobility, or anyone fearful of heights (the cable car ride is slightly terrifying although the view is beautiful). This also means you should leave plenty of time to get whatever desired food slot you were hoping for (breakfast/lunch/dinner) as often you will miss it due to having to wait to be collected. They also don’t drop you off at your room they drop you off at the end of the road so again it’s not recommended for people with reduced mobility. 7. The hotel offers all-inclusive packages but a lot of the hotel guests are not all inclusive meaning that all inclusive guests can’t really make the most out of the all inclusive drink perks because there are hardly any staff taking drinks orders and wait times for drinks at the bar are long; at least in comparison to other tui hotels (have stayed in tui blue hotels in Elounda, Zante and in Cape Verde that have all been brilliant). 8. Beach area not sandy; looks man-made and covered in coconut fibres underfoot in place of sand or pebbles. Not a problem, we just weren’t aware ahead of this; feels weird under foot. Went snorkelling in the sea and a lot of it you couldn’t see anything because of where the coconut/palm fibre had clearly been pushed out into the ocean over time (by weather?) making the water clarity murky. 9. Loads of beautiful animals to see

We have just returned from our first holiday at this beautiful hotel. As most of the previous reviews say the location & views are stunning. We had a great time but here are the reasons why this is not a hotel that we will be returning to… 1) The drinks service is dire, both around the pool & around the main bar. In 7 days I was not offered a drink unprompted by any waiter. You have a choice of queuing for up to 15 minutes at the bar or grabbing a waiter as they walk past. Quite often the waiters would say that they would be back in a minute to take our order but then never came back. Some nights were better than others but everyone we spoke to complained about the difficulty in getting drinks. 2) Housekeeping in our room in the main building was poor some days. Our bedding wasn’t changed at all. I got a wee bit blood on the duvet on the first night but all housekeeping did was to turn the duvet over so as it couldn’t be seen. On 2 days the bed looked like it had been made by a stroppy teenager & on these days no cleaning was done at all. Soft drinks in the mini bar were replenished 4 out of the 7 days 3) I loved the cold selection in the restaurant, lovely salads & cheeses. However the “hot” choices were a bit hit & miss. The food is perfectly fine, it’s just that I’ve had much better choices when I’ve stayed at similar priced hotels This is marketed as a 5* hotel for which we paid a premium price (& top rate tourist tax), these issues shouldn’t happen. Especially as they have been mentioned frequently in previous reviews. None of these issues were bad enough to stop us having a wonderful time but if you are planning on visiting then just lower your expectations just a little bit.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at this hotel. We had a nice room with sea view. The hotel is on a steep slope to the waters edge, but we had excellent and fun transfers on the golf buggies driven by the excellent concierge team. Our room was cleaned daily. The beach was v nice with clear waters and we swam daily. The beach area was well attended by the beach boy, he was v nice, polite and helpful. The spa was good, the treatments were excellent. The spa area for treatments was nice but the other areas were poor, tiny sauna, poor showers. But a nice indoor pool. It just didn't feel v premium! We played tennis and the courts were good quality as was the equipment the hotel supplied for free. The food in the buffet restaurant was excellent plenty of good choices. Good waiting and serving staff. The location of the hotel is superb with amazing views. We hired a car from Spiros, and he was helpful and the car was excellent. One real disappointment was the bar and drinks service. We were on half board so were paying for drinks. Both the quality of the drinks and the service were poor. Low quality, often flat mixers (tonic) and drinks seem to taste weak and warm. I paid £24 for two gin and tonics and they were poor, even asking for branded gin. The main bar was a joke, terrible slow service and just poorly made poor quality drinks. The only saving grace was Maria the bartender in Vertigo who was excellent. The quality of the evening entertainment was excellent. So we had an excellent break, it is not a 5 star hotel, It's a top of the range Tui resort hotel, with the + and - 's that brings.

Lovely hotel. We had seen this hotel from the outside a few years ago when people were dropped . We agree its a stunning location with great views gardens. But is isolated. Normally we like to go out for a meal to a local harbour etc but a taxi would cost £50 or more. We were in room 412 which was big and spacious with a lovely balcony. Bathroom had good quality toletries. We did have an issue with a knocking sound and dripping from the plumbing. Also water from the shower would leak under the door. There is a mat but it would stop the door from opening! Then using the mat to mop up the water on the floor. We used the buggies mostly to get up/down to the main building which we enjoyed. The drivers are very pleasnt. Also used the fenicular to go to the beach. it is slow but who is a rush! The main restuarant is very good. At breakfast a pot of coffee/tea are brought to your table. You are asked if you want to eat in or out. Sometimes there is a queue to eat outside but you dont have to wait too long and there are lots of different areas . Our favourite was up on the covered planked area above the pool. Lots to choice from but like most buffets the food was not hot! We stayed down the lovely beach most days and had our lunch at the beach bar and restuarant. Great food and very attentive service. Great to have a glass of wine and meal. Because we were All inclusive we had a evening meal there too. Wine and cocktails overlooking a lovely beach is a must. The beach is pebbled ,do take good footwear to go for a walk or into the sea. The pool is also very good with lots of loungers and are paired with a table and parosel. I had a very relaxing facial at the spa.Glykeria was very attentive. The actual spa area is nice but we booked for a shower on our last day because check out is 11am and were not leaving until after 6pm. The shower room is tired looking and the ladies shower wasnt draining properly . Only shower gel was supplied so wasnt able to wash my hair! Entertainment was outside except for the 1 night it rained. pretty good. The big problem which other reviews have mentioned is the the bar. They need more bar staff as there are plenty of waiters taking orders. Our week was lovely only a few *******. Took lots of photos & hopefully return.

I had an absolutely fantastic and ultra relaxing massage from Milcella. It was the best ever and I would definitely recommend one as part of your holiday. The spa is an oasis of tranquility within the hotel away from all the hustle and bustle. Well worth it and thank you Milcella 🙏 .

A lovely hotel. Staff so friendly and helpful. We did think that having to get a buggy to and from our room would be a problem, but found it no bother at all. I informed the hotel that I’m celiac and after a guided tour of the restaurant by the sous chef found the food lovely and had plenty of choices. Pool area beautiful. We didn’t go for the all inclusive deal but found the drink prices reasonable. Would we go back?? YES!!!! YES!!!! YES!!!! We can’t wait for next year Gary Q

We had the most holiday at this hotel. The staff make you feel so special, nothing is too much trouble. They run the hotel like a dream! All staff are extremely friendly and make you feel so welcome. The hotel itself is immaculately clean, the room was gorgeous with the most beautiful sea view. The restaurant is well run and works well and the food choices are good and change daily. There is a nightly entertainment programme and Sunday is one not to be missed. The Tenors are absolutely fantastic! We went half board, but upgraded to all inclusive on the first day for €50 per person, per day. The tram down to the private beach is a bonus as there are a LOT of stairs. The beach restaurant is included in the all inclusive package and you get to visit for dinner once during your stay. Make sure you do this as the lamb is the best I’ve ever had! We also visited Vertigo, which is not included in the package. That was lovely, but service was a little slow. We took the bus into Corfu which is well worth the €14 return fare, and we hired a boat with a skipper. That was an amazing day as you visit secluded beaches and fascinating caves! This hotel is quite remote so be prepared to relax for the duration of your stay. This hotel is truly worth a visit!
