We have just returned from a wonderful 10 night stay. Prior to going I did look at the trip advisor reviews and was slightly anxious as there were several negative ones. However, we more than happy with the hotel. Our room was on the top floor with wonderful views of the beach and sea. Spotlessly clean with everything you needed to ensure you had a comfortable stay. The food was good with plenty of choice. A microwave was available if the food was not as warm as you would like. The all inclusive drinks were fine. We drank mainly white wine and beer and they were both of reasonable quality. Daytime and evening entertainment was varied but there was something going on each day. The staff were all excellent, hardworking, friendly and always greeted you with a smile. Now the sunbed situation. Yes there is a problem. There are just not enough sunbeds to go around. You will be lucky to get one after 9 am. Fortunately we managed to get one each every day. There is a lawn area between the pool and the bungalows. Probably enough room for another 3040 sunbeds. If this was used I am sure it would ease the problem. Unfortunately some guests told us they would not return because of the sunbed shortage. Overall we had an amazing holiday and we will be returning in the near future.

The rooms are clean, well looked after and they think about being environmentally sustainable which is good. We thought that the cocktails and bar service was reasonably priced for excellent cocktails brilliantly made. A real care and attention to detail. We also thought the pool snacks were cheap but good too. Breakfast every day was varied and we were happy with this. The main meal on some nights was fantastic, duck in orange sauce, steak, lamb chops, a great selection of cheese and salads. The only reason why we would not give five stars is due to the following: desserts were not very good and there was way too much gelatine in all of them and a lack of flavour. The second would be that when we arrived, despite being half board we have to pay £60 euros for drinks at dinner time. I have never experienced this is any other hotel and the wine offer was not nice so we felt a bit ripped off here. The area itself is really picturesque and Cituadella is well worth and visit. Overall a good place to visit and the entertainment was brilliant.

Lord nelson hotel was the worst hotel, we have been in. Unfortunately when we were there the weather wasn't kind to us, it rained 3 days of our week. The animation team did nothing to entertain the guests. If fact I didn't see any entertainment all week by them. The entertainment in the evening was very poor. Now when you book a all inclusive holiday you expect it to be all inclusive, not this hotel, they expect you to pay for your snacks, your alcohol drinks of a special brand. Did not have a alternative drink to replace it. It looked like this hotel was out to make as much money on everything. From the safe box, the towls, snacks alcohol drinks. This is a hotel should be avoided, would I come back again. DEFINITELY NOT

Nice quiet spot right on the coast but didn’t live up to 4⭐️ rating. We booked a garden ‘bungalow’ which was ‘ok’ but there was a drainage smell coming from the shower drain. The hotel and Jet2 rep said it was because it was windy!! Anyway, the manager kindly moved us to an ‘upper bungalow’ and that was just fine. We even had a partial view of the beach (photo). So far so good. The breakfasts were very nice with a good choice of hot and cold offerings, however we found the evening meals very poor on occasions. On the face of it there was a lot of choice but the ingredients, particularly the cuts of meat, were very poor quality, and much of the veg was over cooked. Certainly there’s a need for an exec chef to take charge in the kitchen and look at quality control and ingredients purchase. We thought there was a bit of ‘penny pinching’ going on too - charges for things other 4 star hotels offer as standard eg the room safes, the car park, soft drinks in the restaurant and a few other things. Overall, a nice (quiet) adults only hotel in a picturesque location let down by poor evening food and penny pinching

Great hotel. Lovely location right by beach. Food was v good lots of choice. Always found a bed by pool but it does get busy. Pool was good temp that time of year. Bus v close by and highly recommend Mahon and Cuitadella. There are a few nice souvenir shops and bars but sant Thomas v peaceful and beautiful. The hotel is right by a lovely walkway with pine trees lit well at night. Staff and locals v friendly. Staff work v hard too. Loved it here and would come back. We stayed half board and found prices ok for drinks etc. you could pay 3 euros for drinks In restaurant. beer and wine from dispensers I think unlimited. fantastic place will go again.

The food in this hotel is terrible hot food was always cold and was very repetitive the desserts were the same throughout the week houseflies all over-the drinks are very weak the entertainment is rubbish I’m a seasoned traveler and in my opinion this doesn’t deserve to be 4 stars I’ve stayed in better 3 star hotels, the inside of the hotel is kept lovely and clean but outside around pool area is filthy not once in a week was it brushed or jet washed the paths to bungalows are overgrown the sun loungers are plastic covering sponge and are hosed down every morning resulting in getting soaking wet and are filled with stagnant water first time staying there and definitely will not be back

Second visit to the hotel, did October 2022, decided on 3 weeks this time. Sunny, hot and the beach is lovely. The staff are wonderful and helpful, Marco, the entertainment manager is a hoot! The picture attached is Marco in full swing on his entertainment piece

The food was poor, especially the bread (think it was left out too long, quite stale). Dining room seemed like a staff canteen. If you weren't all inclusive lunch and snacks were extra. As was hiring the room safe and any extra towels. We opted to eat out after a couple of days. The photos of the rooms and the location to the beach are spot on! But our room was right next to a treatment plant/generator which was on all day and night(cutting out every now and then for about 10 minutes). The bus timetable had just changed( because of the time of year had cut some buses out). but was a good service. Although local restaurants were good, this time of year there were quite a few flies! Also most of the restaurants like their football!

This was my first holiday abroad since my mobility has become an issue. I booked through jet2 and contacted the hotel a few weeks before we went. I asked if we could have a room near a lift and the hotel amenities. This was all in place for me, the view wasn't brilliant but sometimes other things are more important. Overall, lovely beachfront hotel in a quiet resort but on a bus route, Mahon and Ciutradella were about 45 minutes away. This was perfect as I needed a rest and my son could get out and about. The hotel itself was lovely, welcoming and the staff were great. A tip if you have mobility issues is to try and get a sunbed next to the jacuzzi so you can use it to get up from the sunbed (those of you who have this issue will know how important this is!) I found the beach to be easily accessible, with wooden walkways on a slight slope and then matting leading to the sea, I would think this will useful for wheelchair users. The only real problem we had is that we're both vegetarian and there wasn't much variety of food which was suitable and labelled but we managed to find something each time. The food was labelled for allergies and I don't think it would be difficult to add veggie and vegan to these. This is an issue we have whenever we're on holiday so it's a suggestion rather than a criticism of this particular hotel. We had a great time and if you're looking for this kind of holiday I would highly recommend the hotel.
