Riad Malaika is hidden away down a quiet yet extremely safe cul-de-sac just off a quiet square. Cool, serene and filled with ancient charm I was warmly welcome with tea and almond biscuits. My room was very comfortable, and had all the usual facilities, I was only here for one night, but it enabled me to experience these unique buildings with the central courtyard and water feature. I slept extremely well, breakfast was a triumph with French toast, a simple but delicious omelette, proper fresh orange juice, my preference for black tea, delicately cut fruit, silky yoghurt and off course, delicious bread. Riad Malaika is on my return list If ever I get back to Essaouira.
