Average hotel. Room lighting is a bit dim. Reception is helpful. Basement carpark is an advantage.

The hotel is a 20-minute walk from Essen Central Station and not far from the pedestrian street. It is also convenient to park downstairs in the hotel.
The parking fee is 17.5 euros per night, which is a bit expensive. The parking fee must be paid in advance and post-payment is not accepted. I guess inflation in Europe is still quite severe in the past two years. It seems that prices are skyrocketing, including food and accommodation.
