Airport Waterfront Inn

We were both horrified and delighted by Waterfront Philadelphia. Good things: Near the airport. 24 hour on-time airport shuttle, free. Clean room and comfortable beds. Bad things: First impression was so poor I left my family in the car to see the inside of our room. If it had not been as clean and nice as it was, we would have forfeited the no-refunds cost and gone elsewhere. The outside is grungy, rusty, old, neglected, in need of paint, in need of repair, and set in a gravel parking lots with construction cones around, though there was no apparent construction going on in this hotel. Everything is a shambles. But we were at the end of a trip, and would have to leave at 2:30 AM, So it was okay to sleep in. The bathroom had no soap. If you open the shade to see the water you stare at a has-been outdoor entertainment space, along with everyone who ventures by. There was no way to bring light into the room without our room being open to view. The shuttle drivers were kind and efficient, and the shabby front desk clerk was patient. The sunset was pretty. This place reminded me of The Bates Motel from the movie Psycho. It's off to the off Holiday Inn Express. You could easily miss it. The building had a shabby old run-down feel. I walked in the office and was not greeted friendly or politely. As soon as I walked into my room it had a stale smoke smell. The room looked about 70 years old. Things painted over. Outdated and ugly furniture. The coach was stained and dirty. The lighting was very dim especially in the bathroom. One of the lamps did not work. The tub was terrible and needed a re-glaze job due to all the chipping. And there was dirt ring around it that I surely didn't create. One of my towels was dirty. The way it was folded I couldn't tell until I got ready to use it. The best thing in the room was the 60-inch mounted tv. The bed sheets were clean--surprisingly! I did a thorough check before sleeping in it. I had never stayed in decrepit hotel such as this. I wanted a budget-friendly place just for two days, but I will never stay at this place. I was waiting for the roaches to come out and say hey!..lol! It was just plain disgusting. Coffee packs in the room but one cup no sugar no creamer. I don't recommend this place to an enemy! Do not stay at this run-down place! You may just check out and go to the Holiday Inn Express next door. First impression is a lasting one for sure.

My stay at Waterfront Inn is the best! The person at the desk is so helpful and friendly, he gave me all the reminder that I need and was so kind! The place is really nice and clean. If youre at Philly for a quick stay and nice view stay at water front inn.

I was locked out of my room office should be24/7 I didn’t have access to my room at 2-3 in the morning My key was not working not letting me in. Frustrating with kids

I really liked the Waterfront Inn. We had a beautiful view. The rooms appear to be recently updated. There is no elevator which could be an issue for some. We had a rental car so didn't use the shuttle. It was a convenient driving distance. We also enjoyed food at a Pub that was only a few blocks away.

The room was okay but no iron but there was an iron board. No closet space but it was manageable.

They do not have breakfast. Property was run down and very outdated. The only plus was the scenery.
