Pousada Palacio de Estoi – Small Luxury Hotels of the World Reviews

Pousada Palácio de Estoi is a beautiful hotel, elegant in every corner, very quiet, and with ample parking. I stayed for two nights, and while the first night was wonderful, the second evening at dinner was disappointing. The restaurant service felt rather cold, and there was a mix up where someone had made a 7 p.m reservation under our names without informing us. Things worsened when my fish soup contained a small piece of plastic, which I showed to the restaurant manager, unfortunately, that ended my meal. Not to mention the delay in food, 75 minutes sitting in the restaurant, I have only had the plastic containing soup. Despite this, the hotel itself is charming and well located, with some aspects of service done right. With some attention to communication and restaurant service, it could easily be a five star experience. Not quite there yet in my humble opinion.

Very traditional hotel, nice atmosphere. The restaurant was nice. The reception is a bit small and hot, we were sorry for the staff who worked in that hot area. The rooms were quite large and nicely furnished but in one room which we asked for the extra bed, in that bed my son was attacked by bedbugs. That’s only thing that were disappointed

Very beautiful hotel with an even more beautiful interior, however the rooms, while spacious and comfortable don’t really reflect this. It would be nice if the rooms had a similar look to rest of the hotel. Very good food and even better service. The receptionist was nice enough not to charge me for things I took for the minibar.

A beautiful hotel steeped in history and with an indescribable view over Faro.

A hotel with an artistic atmosphere, about half an hour's drive from the airport. Stayed in the hotel for two nights. The front desk service was warm and friendly, especially the clerk Diogo, who recommended two tourist projects for us when we missed the reservation, making our trip rich, exciting and affordable. One of the projects was delayed at the beginning, and Diogo actively coordinated with the store to adjust the time and helped us complete the trip smoothly. Faro's sunshine, sea water, beach, and hotel services are all wonderful memories. Recommended.

We were very comfortable. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The building is a museum. The breakfast was short but good quality. Very friendly staff.

The castle is converted into a hotel, OK and good service. Don't miss the delicious dinner and super beautiful scenery in the hotel. It is the first choice for self-driving tours.

It is a relatively large hotel in the area, with convenient parking, clean rooms and decent breakfast. There are only two problems: one is that there are flies flying around on the food, which is very unhygienic. The other is that the doorman is very unfriendly. He would not let me check in ten minutes later and insisted that I go to the bar to spend money. Then he obviously wanted a tip before helping me carry my luggage, which was very uncomfortable.

A very good hotel, it is a palace itself, with a beautiful environment! But the location is slightly off, on a hill. Great view overlooking Faro! The hotel service is very good and the room is very big. We live on the 0th floor. There are often kittens coming outside the big balcony. They are so cute! Clean and comfortable, it is the best hotel we have stayed in in Spain and Portugal. breakfast is also ok! The hotel also has two swimming pools. There is a very thoughtful children's pool that is only 50cm, which is great!

The location is a bit out of the way, and nothing in the Christmas village is open. It is convenient to have a car. Mainly because the building itself has a sense of history, but in fact the hotel conditions are not considered five-star.

Hotel facilities, services, cost-effective are very high. Parking at the door is also convenient. If you are traveling by car, it is very good to come here
