Inn on Crescent Lake B&B

We are fortunate that my birthday falls at the end of October, which usually makes it a great time for a getaway to enjoy the colors of the autumn season. The Inn at Crescent Lake is so beautiful! The entire house is warm and inviting, the Hunter Family are such welcoming hosts, and there is plenty to enjoy. The hearty breakfasts are out of this world and we weren't hungry again until dinnertime. The walking path that follows the lake is well kept and there are even available boats for the use of the guests. We are disappointed to find out that this lovely place is closing permanently to the public on November 1st, but we are thankful for the time we were able to spend here this weekend. We wish the Hunter Family all the best in the future and want to thank them for making this wonderful, historic home available to so many people over the past several years.

So so sad!!!’ They are closing their B&B. We visited last fall and loved this place. Tried to get in again this summer and it was booked on the dates we needed. Wanted to schedule for next year and website says they are having to close for health issues. My husband and I are praying for you and yours. We will miss the opportunity to visit you again. May G-D bless you in the next new chapter of your lives!.

I told friends that we were going to Excelsior Springs for a little weekend getaway and everyone asked if we were staying at the Elms. I said no. I actually missed seeing the larger hotel on my search and am I ever glad I did! Our stay at The Inn on Crescent Lake was amazing! We had been backroad cruising all day and the pool was super inviting. My husband and I opted out of going out to dinner and decided that peanuts, pork rinds and crackers would sustain us while we enjoyed the pool. The owners offered small snacks as well that were complimentary and we took advantage of popcorn and cookies. The pool water was crystal clear and warm. Two other couples came out and we all enjoyed each others company and found out we were all celebrating wedding anniversaries. We stayed until the pool closed, then enjoyed some wine on our patio under the stars. It was hard to go inside. Our room was very spacious and cozy. The bed and pillows super comfy! Our stay included breakfast and I had not intended to eat much, but when Mike served the yogurt parfait and Sicilian roll with potatoes, I ended up eating every bite. It was so tasty, hot and delicious!! We took a morning walk around the lake before we left. The grounds are very well kept and beautiful. I would definitely stay again! It gets 10/10.
