Family Hotels in Hualien

It is such a perfect spot with wonderful staff. They are dedicated to make your stay a memorable one. The food was amazing. They even give you gifts and will if you are tired, they will make sure you have a nice dinner on the house. I would recommend this place to everyone that comes to Hualein. The owner is so committed and kind. He would gladly offer rides to and from the train station and help you with anything you need. Perfect stay. Clean as well. Just wonderful and outstanding!

One of the better (if not the best) hotel chains I’ve stayed at in Taiwan. I’ve visited Taiwan about 10 times and stayed here for 2 nights, and overall I was very satisfied with the experience. They provide free bicycles (3 hours limit), which is useful for getting around Hualien. Breakfast has a good spread, and there are complimentary ice cream and drinks available in the lobby around the clock. We didn’t realise they also offer late-night supper from 7pm to 9pm, which was honestly as good as a proper dinner buffet, with a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes and even live entertainment. The room was spacious and well maintained, with no hygiene concerns. Shower water pressure was good. Noise levels were generally fine, though louder sounds like furniture movement could occasionally be heard. The hotel is conveniently located near a convenience store, restaurants, KTV, and a cinema, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from the station. You can also cycle to the night market within 15 minutes, making it super easy to get around the main area without getting a taxi. Overall, a very good stay and very good value for money. While a gym would be nice, I would definitely consider staying at other branches on future trips.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The lobby's decor and color scheme, with its mountain and sea motifs, created a very relaxing atmosphere. Plus, they offered complimentary late-night snacks like douhua (tofu pudding), coffee, and other drinks, which was a fantastic touch! 🎉

Right opposite Hualien Station, this is an incredibly convenient location! It’s perfect whether you’re traveling solo or with a few friends. The prices are reasonable, the facilities are complete, and a simple breakfast is even included. The common area is spacious, making it very convenient for a group of friends to chat and eat together in the lounge. We even met the owner when we were checking out, and they were so nice, even helping us take a group photo. I'm really grateful for the owner's dedication over so many years. With tourism in Hualien declining recently, it's truly commendable that they've managed to persevere and continue providing such a great place for travelers to rest. Thank you so much! 🙏

The staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, making our stay truly enjoyable. The room was spacious and well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort of our visit. Azure Hotel is strategically located, with Dong Da Men Night Market just a short walk away, which was very convenient. On top of that, the hotel provides complimentary parking for guests, which was a very convenient bonus for us.

Had a very underwhelming experience for the money that we paid for this hotel. Decor was very outdated (i.e. 2000s), which was understandable as this is an old hotel. Service staff was quite rude when we asked for directions and recommendations for food and things to see around the area. Do note that the carpark is very small and there are no parking lots surrounding the area. When we checked in, the carpark attendant told us that their carpark lot was at full capacity.

Except for last year, I'm a loyal returning guest to Lakeshore Hotel Hualien, staying here every year. I have a lot of sentiment attached to Lakeshore, and I truly hope everything at the hotel continues to develop positively. Therefore, I'd like to share my honest thoughts and offer some suggestions. Pros: - The bed was incredibly comfortable. - The housekeeping staff were very responsible and diligent. - The front desk ladies provided excellent service. - They were kind enough to let us park our scooter in the basement, which was a huge plus given the rainy weather during our stay. Areas for improvement: - The water pressure in the showerhead was too low. - The indoor lighting was insufficient; it wasn't bright enough. - The indoor slippers provided were uncomfortable, making me want to wear my own slippers inside. This would, in turn, make it difficult to keep the indoor floors clean.

Stayed two days in a quad room. This was my third stay. The room was very clean, and the front desk staff was very friendly. If there's no parking available, they'll even move their company car and let you park. It's across the street from 7-Eleven, and there's also a TP-Link nearby. Zhongmei Street has many delicious restaurants, so it's quite convenient. If I had to find a negative, it would be: The rooftop pool is quite small. Even with four people in it, it's usually full. It's too hot during the day and only open until around 9 PM. The breakfast on the first floor has a good selection of special dishes, but for some reason the air conditioning isn't cooling enough, so the food is a bit warm. Overall, it's quite good.

The hotel maintained a high standard of cleanliness, and to my pleasant surprise, I was upgraded to a more spacious room.

The exterior may not be very stunning and the hotel may feel a bit old, but after entering, you will slowly discover its inner charm. The Daoxiang double room we stayed in was very elegant and large, especially the oversized bed which was super comfortable to sleep on. I am an elderly person who is undergoing neck rehabilitation and I am very picky about beds and pillows, but I slept very soundly and deeply here. A big thumbs up to the hotel owner for choosing the hard bed facilities. The room is super clean. Although the hardware equipment is not new, it has a simple and elegant charm, which I like. It's a bit like Kung Fu tea that needs to be savored slowly. We are an elderly couple who came to Hualien to visit friends. Before checking in, we requested a quiet room with no smoke. We could not stay in the side room due to our physical condition. Although the room had some minor flaws in sound insulation, the hotel met our needs. The peaceful and pleasant environment in the rice fields will give you a good night's sleep. The backyard also gets high marks, and is perfect for a relaxing stroll. The breakfast was rich and delicious. This is very suitable for us who don't need dazzling amusement facilities and come here to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing accommodation environment. The only drawback is that they don't provide dinner, but we solved that by using the hotel's instant noodles and ordering takeout via mobile phone. The price is very reasonable and it is a highly recommended accommodation.
