Family Hotels in Zhangjiakou

Very authentic Chinese four sided courtyard guesthouse. We loved the atmosphere that represented the old historic courtyard, the location in the old town and the friendly staff. The place was renovated in an authentic way that feels original and several elements look very old. Definitely would return if we are back in the area. It most likely would be difficult to get here without a car. Once in the old town the guesthouse is super easily reachable.

During the past few days in Zhangjiakou, the most unforgettable thing is not the passion of the track, but the emotion brought by the front desk. My family sent a box of sports drinks before I left. I made sure to make sure it was delivered on the day of the game. The result was that I, a road ******, filled in the wrong district address. The courier was sorting from the south of the city to a novice post office in the north of the city. Just after the race ended at 4 p.m., the logistics information showed that ”the post office is already at the post office,” but we had to leave for the next city at 5 p.m, and looked at the postoffice address 10 kilometers away on the map, stamping our feet in a hurry. When she heard this, Ms. Park comforted me by saying, ”Don't worry, I'll find a way,” grabbing the keys to her electric car and running out. She returned 20 minutes later, sweating and panting, saying, ”The sorting officers had the wrong zoning area. I went halfway through the warehouse with them to find it!” She thought she could get it now, but she frowned again and said, ”The box is too big to fit in the electric car basket. I'm afraid it will be broken on the road. I'll run around and pack it in the trunk again!” Before I could react, she turned and rushed down the stairs again - the second time she saw her, she had a sweat scarf on her arm, With her hands tightly wrapped around the trunk, even her work shirt was soaked with sweat, but she smiled and said, ”I just borrowed a shock absorber from the post office, and none of the drinks damaged.” When she tore open the packaging, she also purposely put a note on the trunk: ”Remember to replenish electrolytes after the game!” At that moment, I suddenly felt that although the wind of Zhangjiakou was cool with the grassland, but the box of drinks and the smile of my little sister, the trophy of the race course was more heart-warming. When I met such a service in a strange city, I really wanted to share the warmth with everyone! She not only helped us to get the express, but also let me feel the ”heart for heart” service temperature. Next time I come to Zhangjiakou, I will definitely choose this hotel full of human touch.

The room was pretty good and offered good value for money. The bedding and overall cleanliness were excellent. The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming. When I checked in, I handed over my ID, and didn't notice until the next day that they had put it in a protective sleeve – that was a pleasant surprise! The room also came with a complimentary fruit platter (just a tiny suggestion, it might be good to check the fruit carefully as I found a small snail on it 🐌). Breakfast was quite varied and delicious. Airport/Station Transfer: They offer a pick-up/drop-off service to the high-speed rail station, which is very convenient as it's only a few minutes away.

The hotel upgraded us to a larger room for free. If you're bringing kids, there are plenty of amusement options right within the resort, and in winter, there's a ski resort. All your dining, entertainment, and play needs are covered. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. When we arrived, we found out our tire had been punctured on the way and was flat. A staff member gave us a number for tire repair, and someone came within 10 minutes and fixed it very quickly. If you want to go out to eat, Chongli County is about 4 kilometers away by car.

This time, I stayed at this apartment for my trip to Chongli, and the overall experience was great. The hotel is located near Genting Hotel, making it very convenient for getting around. The surrounding scenery is expansive, and the air in the mountains is exceptionally good. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the sound insulation was quite good. There's a significant temperature difference between day and night in the mountains, but the room heating was powerful, so it was very warm at night. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and the service was enthusiastic. Parking was also convenient, making it very hassle-free for those driving. This place is perfect for a vacation in Chongli, and I'll choose it again next time I visit.

The facilities are a bit old, and it has a Viennese style. The main pool is quite deep, but the kids' pool is suitable for children. It seems to be primarily a training facility, especially for external swimming lessons. So, after 5 PM, only one lane is available for swimming. The management is a bit lax and somewhat disorganized, but the service attitude is very good. The underground parking seems to be unusable. The breakfast isn't as diverse as those in big chain star hotels, but it really suits Chinese tastes. The roujiamo (meat burger) is quite good, and their lamb soup is excellent. Their milk tea is also nice, though the bread is just average. The rest are stir-fried dishes, and their hand-torn sausage is good, as are many of their cold dishes. They also offer black tea, which tastes pretty good. Oh, and I almost forgot the most important thing: the curtains are very thin and don't block out much light. Maybe it's a business hotel, and they want you to wake up and get to work as soon as it's light outside.

As someone with a pet, I was really satisfied with this pet-friendly hotel. From check-in to check-out, all the staff I encountered were very polite. The facilities are what you'd expect for a hotel of this brand and star rating, so there's not much to say there. The location is excellent; right outside is a plaza, making it very convenient to get anywhere. The hotel even thoughtfully provided breakfast for our furry friend. As pet owners, we made sure our dog wore a diaper in the room the whole time. What was really great was that there were no strange odors in either the room or the hallway. We met many other friendly dogs at the hotel, and everyone was very welcoming to pets. Next time we visit in the winter, we'll definitely bring our furry friend back to stay here.

For a ski trip to Genting, I highly recommend staying at Genting Residences. You can literally ski in and out of the resort, which is incredibly convenient. After a short ski, you're right at the cable car, saving you a lot of hassle with driving or walking – a huge time-saver! Just a little further down, you'll find the Genting Ski Resort lobby and the Genting Grand Hotel, making dining and shopping super easy. When you're tired from skiing, coming back and relaxing on the balcony in the sun is just pure bliss. The hotel's facilities are top-notch, and the underfloor heating is wonderfully comfortable. Having stayed in at least a dozen ski-in/ski-out hotels, Genting Residences is my absolute top pick. This is the kind of quality accommodation every skier deserves.

The room is clean and tidy, the landlord communicates in a timely manner, the snow ticket rental cabinet can be discounted, the hot spring ticket can also be discounted, you must bring your own swimming trunks in advance, otherwise you will be surprised if you buy it now.

Service was excellent! Front desk assistant Xue Mingxia helped us extend our check-out time until 2 PM. That was incredibly thoughtful, especially during the hot summer. It was great to stay at such a value-for-money hotel in Chongli for a summer escape.
