Hongrong Intelligent Hotel (Fangchenggang High-Speed Rail Station Ocean Culture Park Branch)

Let's start with the positives. The location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. There's also an 'Unreadable Bookstore' nearby, and places to have late-night tea. The room was very quiet, and the hygiene was quite good. The room itself was spacious, and the staff were fantastic. Originally, the AC was set to heating only for winter, but they reset it, and after a bit of adjusting, it worked perfectly – quite an eye-opener! However, the downsides mentioned in other reviews are also present. The front desk staff indeed seemed cold. The underground parking garage was very dusty, and there's an unfinished area with a lot of construction debris, leading to a thick layer of dust on the ground. Walking through it would definitely get your shoes dirty. But the most critical flaw was the hot water. The water heater was incredibly difficult to adjust; it was either scalding hot or freezing cold, and I couldn't find a comfortable temperature at all.

The surroundings are lovely, great for a stroll, and it's not far from the pedestrian street. However, the hotel facilities are quite basic. There are no power outlets on either side of the bed, so I couldn't charge my devices. After speaking with the front desk, I was given a super long extension cord. The shower water was very unstable, fluctuating between scalding hot and freezing cold, which was a bit alarming. Also, there's a construction waste dump in the underground parking lot. I'm not sure if the nail that punctured my tire came from the parking lot, but my tire pressure warning light came on shortly after I left, and I found a huge nail in my tire.

So many positives! 👍👍 The front desk staff were incredibly warm and proactive 👏👏 (there was a gentleman with glasses who seemed to be in charge – excellent! 👍👍👍) A few suggestions: 1. Strengthen the road entrance signage even more. 2. Need to urge property management to better maintain and manage the elevators. 3. I feel the restaurant might be a bit small during peak tourist season.

The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, and the view was fantastic. Plus, there are plenty of food options downstairs. Definitely recommend!

This hotel was a great layover stop on our road trip. The price was very reasonable, and the room was spacious and carpeted, offering a sea view from the higher floors. The central air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy, but overall, it was comfortable, clean, and tidy. Located in the city center, there are many hotels nearby, so it's best to confirm parking arrangements before checking in to avoid parking in the wrong spot and not getting a discount. One issue in the room was the lack of power outlets by the bedside table, which was quite inconvenient as we had to charge devices at the desk or mini-bar. Hopefully, this can be improved. Finally, as I was traveling with my pet, I left him in the room while I went out to eat. Usually, he's fine, but perhaps due to more people coming and going that day, my pet barked and disturbed other guests on the same floor. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

The windows are huge, letting in plenty of sunlight and making the room feel bright and airy. The smart controls were very responsive; I didn't have to awkwardly repeat commands. The bathroom has a great wet/dry separation, so water doesn't splash out. Bringing the whole family here was definitely the right choice; everyone was happy.

It was incredibly quiet at night, with only the faint sound of distant waves. The duvet was breathable and not stuffy at all. The front desk staff were all smiles, which really brightened my mood. For a place with new facilities and a great location, this is definitely top-notch in Fangchenggang. I had a really comfortable stay.

Traveling with family, parking was convenient, the breakfast auntie provided excellent service, and the room was spacious, bright, and very clean. Highly recommended!
