La Casa Dell'Arancio

Going to Favignana in October was a wise decision: few people, free beaches, an even more than pleasant climate and accommodation facilities capable of satisfying any need without stress or pressure. Our first choice falls on a structure that had already closed and so we decide to book at the orange house. We choose the top floor apar**ent with private panoramic terrace, spacious bedroom and bathroom, small sitting area and an equipped outdoor kitchen. The location is very neat and clean, reminiscent of the Andalusian houses with the connecting stairs in the open air. There is no shortage of details, attention to detail and the kindness of those who welcomed and followed us during our stay. They didn't make us miss anything. The breakfast is also good with a decent assor**ent of products. The location is also convenient… totally central.

The imprint of the Arabs characterizes the beautiful location.Everything is taken care of in detail, excellent cleanliness as is the breakfast.Central to the village but quiet.The host Lucrezia is very kind, always available to give useful information. As a native, it enhances all the resources of the territory, not just the sea. Magical places not to be missed: Visit to the tonnara (with guide) Visit to the Garden of the impossible "Chat and wine" at sunset. No need to bring the car, the electric bike is fantastic and allows you to go around the whole island! The restaurants are quite expensive!

The structure has been renovated and tastefully furnished but the company that manages it does not offer a service in line with the asking price. Good cleaning, little info at the reception (beach towels on request, terrace not reserved for guests but available to the Elite club). But the final surprise was to be asked, the day before departure, to pay in cash or a bank transfer for the balance. In both cases it had to be done IMMEDIATELY. The reason given was the malfunctioning of the Pos which however worked perfectly throughout Favignana. The psychological pressure was EMBARRASSING!

the structure is beautiful as a whole and has some elegant niches .. pity they gave us a very different room from the one we requested, that is a really dark room with a tiny veranda without chairs that housed the air conditioning systems of the whole stable that fired hot air all day and night! Unlivable and unusable when we were told that we would have a terrace with children! Despite our obviously written complaints, we were contacted without any result to try on their part to recover the situation, indeed they practically gave us liars which I find shameful and inadmissible as well as the person with whom I spoke on the phone did not absolutely obvious to apologize! The same goes for other services that I had requested ... the high price of this structure following these inconveniences I found it really absurd. Not to mention the really badly organized shift breakfast, not just because of the waiting times. If you want to go, I suggest that you write in black and white what you request and promise.

Small rooms and some without a terrace. Breakfast in covid times requires the presence of one room at a time, and in any case a maximum of 4 people, in the dining room. This means that either you arrive early or you wait! And if you get there early, you will need to eat very quickly. The breakfast, very good and varied, yes, it is not served but self service in EVERYTHING since the table is not even set. The hours are from 8.30 to 11 ... check out ends at 10, so on the last day you not only have little time for breakfast, but you will also have to hurry to leave the room. The house is noisy and in the evening you can hear everything when someone enters the rooms. There are no toilets so once you leave the room, if you miss the pee, you can manage. They wanted to charge us for bottles of water which we didn't take from the fridge. Having said that, we will return to Favignana but we will choose another structure.
