Fenghuang Yunqiao Free River View Boutique Homestay (Fenghuang Ancient City Yunqiao Branch)

We really appreciated your hospitality. The location is perfect, and the property is warm and cozy. Our room had an extraordinary view of the river and the bridge. We loved every aspect of our stay.The only area for improvement would be the breakfast, as the selection was somewhat limited. It would be great to offer fresh fruit and coffee as well.

This homestay is the perfect location if you want to explore Fenghuang ancient town. The rooms were spacious, clean and had an incredible view of the bridge from our balcony. It was one of our favourite places we’ve booked during our trip in China, we would 100% come back to this hotel the next time we visit Fenghuang. The hosts were extremely responsive and provided great suggestions on where to visit and eat. The breakfast delicious and the hosts really made sure we had everything! The city doesn’t have the cab hailing service, so she even made sure we had a car who could drop us off at the railway station in the morning. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Unlike other hotels in China, this one did not offer a pickup service from the train station, making our journey to the hotel quite complicated. The actual taxi fare from the station turned out to be double the price we had been quoted. We had received information via Trip.com that if we took a bus to a specific square, the hotel would pick us up from there; however, the hotel later messaged us saying they didn't have time to do so, forcing us to make our own way there. My husband lost his passport during the journey, but the hotel staff were amazing and helped us locate it—we are very grateful for that! As for the room, it was nice and matched the photos. However, we were told that breakfast wouldn't start until after we had left for the train station (after 8:00 AM), so they offered to prepare a packed breakfast for us instead. Yet, upon checking out, we saw that the breakfast service had actually been open since 7:00 AM. We also disliked the fact that the staff repeatedly asked us to rate the hotel a "5"; they kept checking to ensure we would give them the highest possible rating.
