Have a great experience. The rooms are big and well appointed. The staff are friendly and helpful as well. The property is a bit on the older side but they maintained it pretty well. Only area that needs more attention is the pool. There are some areas at the bottom of the pool that are missing some tiles. Nonetheless, I will definitely stay again here.

My husband and I decided to stay at a hotel outside the Fes medina, because we had already stayed at a riad in the Marrakesh medina earlier in our trip, and also our guide warned us that it wasn't safe to wander around the medina in Fes after sundown (he also warned us about walking anywhere by ourselves at night). After looking at the various hotel options, we decided to book our last two nights in Morocco at Palais Medina & Spa. It turned out to be the perfect place to wind down at the end of our trip. We booked directly with the hotel, and requested a room overlooking the pool. They gave us a wonderful room (Room 240), which had a king-size bed, sofa and desk area, and balcony with chairs and table overlooking the pool area. Our rate included breakfast, and it was a huge buffet, with lots of different options like scrambled eggs, potatoes, as well as pastries, cereal, yogurt, etc. Although we had a driver and didn't need parking, there appeared to be plenty of secure parking at the hotel (you have to pass a security guard to enter the hotel grounds). We also loved the fact that the hotel is located next to the ”Borj Fez Centro,” a modern shopping mall with a food court, including U.S. restaurants like Pizza Hut, Burger King, etc. (McDonald's is also just outside the mall). We ended up bringing back takeout meals from the food court to enjoy on our balcony. There is also huge Carrefour supermarket on the ground floor of the shopping mall, and a liquor store next to it.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Volubilis. We hesitated to book the hotel because of some bad reviews about not having hot water and the staff being unfriendly (especially to Asians). But we decided to book anyways because of its location and quite affordable price. We were arriving to Fez at around 5pm, and we were told staying at the Medina wouldn't be worth it. Since we were catching a flight the next morning, we thought it would be more convenient to stay in the new city. So, despite some of the bad reviews, we decided to spend the night at Hotel Volubilis. Its location turned out to be great. It's right at the center and by the main avenue. There are lots of places to eat at walking distance and there are several Carrefours closeby also at walking distance. The staff was nice and they welcomed us well and took our request for a taxi to the airport in the morning. So, we have no complaints about the staff. Our room was big with a terrace. The room was old but clean. The terrace had no table or chairs, but it was okay. The bathroom was also big and we had no issues with the hot water. We showered at arrival and in the morning and water was hot and with pressure. The thing that we missed the most in the room was a fridge. Other than that, all good and acceptable. Though we agree with the other comments saying that this is not a 4-star hotel by ”global” standards.

The service staff are very enthusiastic, the accommodation environment is very beautiful, the Arabian style, the bathroom is very big! As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we provided dessert and tea. The breakfast was exquisite. One day we got up late and the clerk prepared breakfast for us. Except that the location is not easy to find, you can contact the front desk at the approximate address and ask them to come out to pick you up. This is the case in the old city of Marrakech. There are so many small roads, so you can get used to it.

The hotel is relatively good, but nothing special. The most annoying thing is that wifi is only available at the reception desk, and quite limited / if 20 people are connected, one has to wait for other to disconnect to be able to connect /. The dinner menu at the restaurant is pretty poor and the only dessert is 2 types of fruit and nothing else. Otherwise, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.

Breakfast is mainly continental breakfast, and chickpea soup is good. The hotel restaurant is on the 9th floor (the Chinese saying is 10 stories). It is the tallest building in the area. The view is very good and you can see the old city clearly. There is an extra bed in the room, no problem with the children, but the parking lot in front of the door is not big. The shower head in the room was bad, and the staff quickly changed one, but the new second day was also broken. It may be caused by a large water pressure, but the bath was no problem, so I didn’t tell the hotel.

The hotel has very good location 5 minutes walking to Burg Fes Mall and near to the old city , staff at the Reception very friendly (Ms Hanan) also at the main restaurant, food whatever for Breakfast or Dinner are very good and enough, don’t like to forget the Housekeeping ladies are excellent, but the hotel now under maintenance for the rooms and some outlets I can give this hotel 6 - 7 from 10

Mrs. Fatima and her staff made our first visit to Morocco an unforgettable experience! We really enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners with traditional food. We really enjoyed the Hamman bath. We did a tour that consisted of a day visit to the medina and one to the Sahara desert, where we stayed in a luxury glampimg and enjoyed a camel ride to see the sunset in the dunes. Stayed at this hotel as part of a tour of Morocco for 2 nights and my room was on the 2nd floor. All looked okay but the bathroom door couldn't be opened properly as the bathroom was so small it hit the sink. The shower head was in a disgusting state and the water mainly came out the side of it. What looked like a king size bed was actually 2 singles pushed together except the top sheet didn't fit so it was more just draped over and the blanket on top the same so if their had actually been 2 people in the bed they would of been fighting over the bed clothes. The noise from outside at night was still loud despite earplugs. Every time I came in/out the room there was a trolley outside with leftover food I assume from someone's room service, morning & night - not at all appealing. The WiFi well a different login depending on what floor you happened to be on & then it usually didn't work anyway. Breakfast was ok, on the 2nd morning I arrived as the restaurant opened and nothing was ready. We did consider having dinner at this hotel but the staff were not very friendly or even much in attendance. The only good thing to say about this hotel was the view from the restaurant especially at sunrise.
