FH55 Grand Hotel Mediterraneo Reviews

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel this past July for almost a week with the recommendation of Enrique. When I first arrived along with my husband, the people at the front of the door helped open the door. Checking in was very smooth with the help of the manager in the front (Laura). We were easily checked in and escorted upstairs to our room within a matter of minutes. Room was great with a nice patio overlooking a section of the Arno River. The location of the hotel is very nice as it is walking distance to the River. I even walked there during sunset hour. It is beautiful. My favorite part of the hotel was the breakfast buffet. In my opinion, it is better than the ones in America. The food was delicious. It was nice to try the coffee with their coffee machines. Might I add, not all hotels offer a juicer. While traveling, it can be hard to stay healthy so that juicer was very nice. The room was well air conditioned. It was well kept. The housekeeping lady did an amazing job keeping the room tidy. It was nice coming back to a cool room. Also, I forget the name of the young lady bartender... she was very nice and accommodating. The front desk even helped call the taxis when necessary since we're not from there. The lobby was also a nice place just to relax and cool down while waiting for a ride or just lounging. Would definitely recommend staying here and coming back again.

This hotel is absolutely a 5-star for us. Nice location(minutes walk to city center), great breakfast, very helpful staff with Italian hospitality(special thanks to Silvia at the reception), and most important - great value for money. Strongly recommend

Perfect little place for a good nights rest - slightly loud from the people upstairs. Bathroom could have been slightly cleaner. Most of the staff are wonderful and friendly and the breakfast was amazing 😍

Disappointed. Breakfast was subpar. Too much noise from the hall. Asked for a bottle of water, and they told me I had to go to the bar to get it. Expected better service for the price paid.

Great hotel with fantastic reception staff. Location form the centre, not too bad if you don't mind a 15-20mins walk - we didn't mind. Great breakfast too. Special thanks to Luca for hosting us with such professionalism!

The check-in process was quite thorough, but the accent was a bit strong. The location is indeed a bit far from the old town on foot. After all, you'd already be walking a lot in the old town. The room was quite small, not comparable to what you'd find in China. In Italy, it's quite tiring to lug a suitcase around the old town, and it's a waste of luggage!

The old hairdryer doesn't work well: it stops after 5 minutes of heating. Other than that, everything went well, except that the Asian lady at the reception desk wasn't very welcoming and a bit haughty. The breakfast is good. The sofa bed is less soft.
