"Gorgeous hotel and in a beautiful location in the heart of downtown Fond du Lac. Everything was clean room was beautiful. Only odd thing was the TV that is fixed once raised so you're forced to sit in bed to watch. I wasn't in the room long so it wasn't a big deal. A+"

Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Fond du Lac ★★★

"From the time we walked in to the checkin area to leaving the next morning, it was a bad experience. All due to the management. No greeting or welcome at front desk. Claimed we werent Marriot members (been for many years). Gave us the wrong room & when we went back to tell them, and get the room we RESERVED, the mgr sniped back "you didnt touch anything in there did you?". Luckily I had screenshot of reservation because she tried to challenge that. Yikes! This is how you treat guests? No apology whatsoever. She acted irritated as if WE made the mistakes, not them. Horrible horrible customer service, the mgr is very mean. And we actually had to pay almost $800/night because they gouged on pricing due to air show in Oshgosh. It wasn't even a suite, just a basic room. If this is what Marriot accepts in franchises, we'll go back to Hilton. Can't count on the Marriot name anymore."

"The people are friendly and the location is good. The main areas of the hotel are clean but my room smelled like mildew. I was there for a week and couldn’t get housekeeping. They’re supposed to clean on the 3rd day but when I came back to my room that evening it wasn’t cleaned. I asked for housekeeping and was told they would do it the next day. They didn’t.  I can understand spacing out housekeeping but going a week is gross.  I also thought I was coming down with a cold when I was there but within an hour of leaving my symptoms were gone. I think I was reacting to mold or mildew in the room.  I will not stay there again."
