Impossible to fault this Hotel.It was our 2nd visit and unchanged.Faultless welcoming service and of course great food.Our visit made more enjoyable by meeting the Patron himself who was very friendly and in no hurry to rush off ,although I'm sure he was extremely busy.He made us laugh and happily posed for pictures with my wife and our friend

The Manoir continues to provide a top service with quality local produce. Every visit has a unique lovely feel to it. We have celebrated our birthday’s there and have no hesitation in planning a milestone anniversary too.

Truly amazing lunch-we had the 6 course tasting menu, the food , service and wine were outstanding We even met Raymond Blanc at our table! Beautiful hotel and restaurant, Unfortunately due to the weather we missed a tour of the gardens but will return The staff are a credit to the restaurant and made our celebration more special

We were looking forward to our trip to Le Manoir for a significant anniversary and had booked a 2 night dinner, bed and breakfast package. Whilst there were many excellent facets to our trip: wonderful staff who were always helpful and smiling, beautiful grounds etc., other elements fell short. On arrival in our room we attempted to fill our kettle.....no water! Maintenance called and problem fixed but at this end of the hotel scale you are expecting perfection. The next issue was having pre-booked our times for dinner on both evenings we arrived for drinks, but whilst enjoying these someone came through from the restaurant to tell us we were not booked in to the restaurant....they sorted it but not before causing us a degree of discomfort by the whole incident, it was also unnecessary as they resolved the issue anyway. I rechecked our booking upon return to our room and found I was correct. I also spoke with reception the following morning who again apologised and agreed we were booked in to the restaurant on both evenings. Whilst these were just two significant 'negative' incidents during our trip, the whole experience fell short of our expectations. On the food front, whilst there were some excellent dishes but we felt the 40th anniversary dishes, in particular the scallops, were not worth the £25 supplement on top of an already hefty £245 for the tasting menu. Overall we had a lovely weekend but were left with the impression of a venue that is not quite 'under control' and at this end of the hotel market you are expecting things to be close to flawless.

From the moment you walk into Le Manoir you feel at home - a 5* luxury English estate home of course! What can I say about Le Manoir, the service, the food and the wine - what’s not to like about the very best French Burgundy - everything is exceptional. Having had the pleasure of visiting many restaurants around the world, this remains the No.1 restaurant in the world, in my humble opinion. Raymond Blanc is the master restaurateur, and no one comes close. If there is one thing to do in life, save up, and visit Le Manoir, you won’t be disappointed.

We visited in March to celebrate a special birthday for my wife. We had such a great time that we booked this stay to celebrate our 20th Wedding anniversary. So often, when you repeat an experience, the second one doesnt live up to the memory of the first. In this case, it certainly did. It is an exceptional place. The staff are unbelievably good. Nice people, well trained. The rooms are beyond imagination until you see them. The food is simply the best. We have dined in many Michelin-starred restaurants (one and two star) and the experience provided by Le Manoir exceeds all others. It is impossible for me to convey how good the experience was using just words, and we both look forward to our third visit.
