Lovely hotel, staff friendly and very helpful. Changed our room after first night as TV kept cutting out and outside noise from a pump or generator. Breakfast was terrific, everything hot and cooked to perfection. Free parking behind hotel. Would recommend to anyone.

The location of this property was great, close to bus and train station, close to shopping and other amenities.

The view from our room, overlooking the Firth of Tay, was incredible. We could see all the way to the lighthouse at Tayport! Convenient to buses, restaurants, pubs, city center, etc. Staff was always friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for the Open at St Andrews and this was a convenient location. The room was outdated and in need of renovation but the location was excellent and the breakfast was solid.

Very convenient to bus stations. Breakfast was great! No air conditioning, but fine with window breeze.

Hotel is okay but quite dated. The beds are two singles pushed together which is annoying as they slide apart. My main issue was that there were dead flies everywhere. On the windowsill, on the shelves in the wardrobe and on the bathroom floor. Big bluebottles as well so very obvious. Also the night porter is very unfriendly and grumpy.

The queen's hotel is probably as old as Dundee. When I walk into reception the floors are that old we bounced as we walked. There was some Dutch customers at reception with us and they was actually bouncing on the floor looking not impressed at all. 3 times I had to have my door card re magnitized. The TV remote never worked I even tried new battery s. The net curtains looked as though they had never been washed and they had holes in them.grout from the bathroom floor and walls was missing. When I went back into my room the following day nothing had been done. No bed made the towels was where I left them. I had to go back to reception to ask for tea and milk for the room. Walking on the room floor was so noisy they creaked every step we took. I paid £ 84 per night for this hotel and I was very disappointed. That's room only. To be perfectly honest it was like walking back into the 1980s. I am seriously considering contacting the health and safety executive to check out the fire and safety of this building. Best western hotel?. If this is your best you should be ashamed.

The staff at the Queens were all very nice and helpful. The hotel is kept quite clean but we were surprised during our Friday to Monday stay that our room was never serviced. On the environmental side maybe that’s a plus but it felt unusual. Perhaps there was a problem with staffing over the weekend. The location was excellent for many nice pubs and restaurants but the downside was the noise. We were on floor two and on a corner and the noise from the pub next door was just awful until the early hours of the morning. I wouldn’t recommend staying there unless you are hard of hearing then you’ll be fine. I found the bed hard but that’s a personal thing I guess. Breakfast was fine and the staff were lovely. It wasn’t especially cheap to stay there so unfortunately on balance I feel like there are better value choices of accommodation in Dundee.
