The hotel is tired and in need of a renovation. The front sign as you arrive is missing the B in their name. The corridors look tired, carpet on stairs is covered by tape. Outside my room they have ran out of carpet?! Inside the room. Paint chipped and tired skirting boards. Headboard squeaked. Overall room temperature was good and comfortable. £80 a night, did give you access to the pool. However changing rooms need a renovation too. Also at night it can be dangerous coming back into the hotel, there’s no lightening for cars to see you if you happen to be crossing the car park. Wifi was also intermittent

From the outside, the building looks a bit tired. Scottish weather! But there are exterior improvements underway. The room was very clean. The bathroom is modern, a tad small for those +6ft. Comfortable bed. Leisure facilities are good. Road noise is audible but bearable. Good people working there. Will go back.

I booked this hotel last minute as I was passing through and checked in after 11 PM. The Indian guy at the front desk was really nice. He said there were no rooms left, so he gave me a corner room with four single beds. The hotel facilities are quite old and have a dated feel, kind of like guesthouses in China from decades ago. Parking was convenient though.

Arrived and checked in Given a room which was as far away from reception as possible  As I approached the room the worn carpet in the hall ran out leaving exposed floor boards  The room was very tired with paint missing from the walls The bathroom was equally tired with no heating in it No milk supplied with the tea and coffee  The staff had cleaned as well as they could The bed was clean

The hotel is decent, the location is great, there is a beautiful swimming pool which was lovely. Most of the staff was kind appart from one lady at the reception who was horrible. She saw us coming via the entrance with our suitcases, we rang the bell and she looked down at her phone, we managed to get in and the whole time she did not look up nor greeted us nor checked us in she was playing or texting on her phone avoiding her work and duties for a good 20 min. We patiently waited for the kind gentlemen to finish serving the previous guest and then take care of checking us in. This kind of attitude is really unprofessional and tainting the whole experience. I feel sorry for the team that has to deal with this horrible lady! We did not get to find out her name but if you go to this hotel be aware of this unpolite and unprofessional being!

Hotel grotty and dated. No lift and no offer to assist with baggage. No hot water. Younger lady in breakfast room very pleasant. Older lady a bit abrupt.

I always enjoy the bar and bar food. The swimming pool is really nice to use as is the gym. Will return!

The location is excellent for transportation, and there's a large supermarket nearby. It's a great stopover for those driving to the Scottish Highlands.

I recently stayed at Ben Nevis Hotel & Leisure Club and was disappointed with the condition of the room. Several parts of the property were damaged, and the bathroom taps did not work smoothly, making basic use difficult. The hotel clearly needs better maintenance and attention to detail. While the location is good, the room quality did not meet expectations.

I stayed at the Ben Nevis Hotel and Leisure Club in Fort William and left disappointed, mostly because of the gap between the price and what you actually get. The place feels terribly dated and is crying out for a renovation. The rooms are gloomy and the facilities across the board are old and in poor condition. Walls are thin and badly insulated, so you hear far more than you’d like. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the carpets, both in the rooms and the hallways, were dirty. Breakfast was average for what I’ve found in Scotland, so no real complaints there, though it’s nothing to write home about either. The real kicker: €230 a night. At that price I expected far better, and the value simply isn’t there. For anywhere near this rate in the area you can do considerably better. Hard to recommend unless it drops its rates significantly and invests in a much-needed overhaul.

On arrival we were met with a very run down looking hotel, which needed a fresh coat of paint and the missing letters from the hotel name replaced. However, the staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful and food in the bar was very good. Lovely swimming pool, which was an added bonus. Our room was however small and dark, with low lighting and we hardly had any channels on our tv due to poor signal. There is no lift at the hotel so not ideal for anyone with health issues. This was our most expensive hotel during our mini tour of Scotland and definitely our worst room

The environment is great, and it offers good value for money. The only downside is that the room was a bit hard to find.

It's a hotel that has likely looked better. The exterior is pretty run down, and needs quite a bit of work, there's a letter missing from its name signage. The rooms were ok, the shower is maybe 25 years old and changes temperature every time the water is used in another room... My wife couldn't sleep because there is a leaky gutter near our window that was dripping all night.. The pool itself is decent enough, the changing rooms are in a sorry state. Rusty old lockers, weird stains all over and a smell of wee in the male changing room. My family said the female locker room also smelled of wee. Breakfast was decent enough

Excellent food , both at breakfast and in the bar area in the evenings. Also very fast service. never waited more than 15 mins for my evening meal. Friendly attentive staff. Room a little basic but functional. No handheld shower, to compliment the overhead one) and the lighting was a bit dim. Good selection of in room morning hot drinks and biscuits. Swimming pool a good size and warm. Male changing rooms could do with some renovation, Overall I really enjoyed my stay

The staff were incredibly friendly & tentative. Had a really good bar supper. Breakfast was very good. The pool is lovely with the hot tub. The hotel in general is very tired & desperately in need of an Upgrade. Some rooms have new bathrooms. Others in need. Limited hot water in the evening we were there. Showers in the spa changing rooms waste of space - non functional. The rooms were very comfortable. No complaints at all. Good cleanliness. It’s a 3 star hotel. It’s good value for what you get where. I’d definitely go & stay there again. Manage your expectations. You’re not going to luxury. You’re going to comfortable, country hotel that needs a lot of licks of paint & modernisation. Perfectly comfortable, pleasant stay. Don’t go if you want luxury. If you want down to earth, basic but very comfortable for all needs with good facilities, this is great.
