[Highly Recommended] In August 2026, during the peak summer season, after much comparison, we chose to stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Foshan Shunde for our 3-day, 2-night trip. The hotel boasts an excellent location, adjacent to the Qiandeng Lake CBD. It's in the same building as the Marriott Hotel and is also a Marriott-branded property, offering moderate pricing. The rooms are spacious and tidy, with comfortable bedding and expansive views from the upper floors. Guests can also use the heated pool and gym at the Marriott Hotel in the same building, making it great value for money. The front desk efficiently handled check-in, the self-service breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and parking was free. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and short getaways. Hotel concierge Shirley Lin called in advance to inquire about our arrival time and check-in needs, and provided meticulous and attentive service throughout our stay – truly commendable!

The location is great; it's very convenient to catch a taxi right outside, and there are plenty of snack stalls and restaurants nearby, so you don't have to go far to find food in the evening. I checked in in the morning, and Shirley Lin handled it very quickly. The front desk staff was very easygoing and got me settled into my room after a quick rundown of the essentials. The first thing I noticed when I entered the room was how clean it was – no dust on the floor or tables, no damp smell in the bathroom, and the sink was sparkling. The bedding felt soft, and the pillow height was just right. I rested in the room in the afternoon; the air conditioning was powerful and not too noisy, so I could comfortably take a nap. The hot water came out quickly and the pressure was stable, making for a really comfortable shower. The facilities aren't high-end, but everything works. The hallway was also tidy, and the common areas were well-maintained. When I had a small issue and contacted the staff, their response and resolution were prompt, without excessive formality. The actual experience was largely consistent with the description I saw, and it offers great value for money. It's suitable whether you're here for business or a short leisure trip.

It's also very convenient for getting around, and the room service was very responsive. Although breakfast was just so-so, overall it was still very good. The 13th-floor dome-shaped heated pool, large gym, and steam room are shared with another property, but the pool's night view is absolutely stunning and a major highlight of this hotel. 3. **Spacious Rooms:** Rooms start from 40 sqm with floor-to-ceiling windows offering city views. There are no bathtubs, only showers. Each room includes a garment steamer, and the bedding is comfortable. Some room types come with a balcony (which requires staff to unlock). 4. **Great Location for Guangfo Area:** It's a short 10-15 minute taxi ride to Zumiao Temple and Lingnan Tiandi. Getting to Shunde for food is also convenient, making it ideal for a one-night stopover during a self-driving tour of Guangdong. 5. **Self-Service Laundry:** A self-service laundry room is available, which is very convenient for long trips.

This is my second business trip to Foshan, and I stayed at this Courtyard hotel. Overall, the experience was great. Shirley at the front desk was very attentive and efficient with the check-in process. She also responded quickly to any issues I brought up. The room was clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. The location is also convenient for getting around by taxi. The breakfast restaurant is spacious, and my child thoroughly enjoyed the meal; there's a wide variety of dishes suitable for people from all over. Excellent value for money!
