Heartland Hotel Fox Glacier

A stellar hotel in Fox Glacier, with great food and exceptional service. A special shout-out to Joseph at the front desk, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful three-day, two-night stay.

The hotel is right in the center of town, next to the Fox Glacier Guiding office.

The hotel's location is excellent. It is the closest hotel to the Fox Glacier hiking meeting point, and the glacier mountains are right outside the window. The service is a bit poor... The wifi signal in the room we were given was not good at first. We reported it to the front desk, but they said they had never received such complaints and expressed disbelief... I was speechless... Fortunately, they finally changed us to another room near the center, which also solved the wifi problem.

Thanks to the staff of Ctrip for helping us cancel a room. An old man who was traveling with us fell and could not go. The staff of Ctrip helped us coordinate repeatedly, and the hotel finally agreed to cancel the room reserved by the old man. Thanks to Ctrip!

The hotel is right next to the departure point for the Fox Glacier helicopter, and you can walk there after checking in. It rained when we came so we couldn't make the trip, but the hotel itself was pretty good and the room was large. The only drawback was that the water pressure was very low and the shower was not very comfortable. Breakfast is a Western-style buffet breakfast, which is not rich but enough to satisfy you. You can have dinner for white people at the whitepub coffee shop next to the hotel. It costs NZD 25-30 per person and the taste is okay. Hotels in Fox Glacier are generally expensive. After 11 days in New Zealand, this is the only one with a price over 1,000.

I was very satisfied with my stay in this hotel. It feels like it was recently renovated. The bed is very comfortable Also very clean. The service quality is also quite high. We arrived at the hotel late that night, and the waiter helped us check in and park our car in the parking area. Help with luggage. kind
