From the first moment you set foot in the hotel you know that you will never forget it and that this trip to Frankfurt is going to be special. I try to explain it in several points, although I will always fall short: • You forget about COVID-19. On the plane we were a little scared by COVID... but as soon as we left the suitcase in the room, the truth is that it was never a concern for us again. • Collaborative initiatives. A while ago I was in a hotel where they left you a book and, encouraging selfless collaboration, they asked you to leave something for the next clients in return. They do the same here, and on top of the radiator they left us a pair of sports socks. It's a shame they were women's and we were all men, but in any case the additional detail of leaving them there so they would be warm is appreciated. • Exclusive a**osphere. Being surrounded by hostess clubs, erotic clothing stores and ***********, you may think that you are going to find the same thing at the hotel, but that is not the case. You may run into a ********** in the reception hall or hear a lovers' fight, but, at least in our case, all the people we saw doing ***** were on the sidewalk and never inside the hotel. We didn't find any sleeping beggars in the elevator either. • Entertainment proposal. Betting on live-action, from the room you have representations of action, horror, social drama, grotesque and even some pornography by simply opening the curtains. I think it's the first time that I haven't turned on the television for even a second. I couldn't say if there was a remote control or if there was anything about crime in the programming that we didn't see, but it is very likely that there was. • Dermatological care. They opt for cryotherapy trea**ents in their unheated bathrooms. The intense cold of that room helps fight aging and even destroy diseased tissue. Everyone in the room, including a small cockroach that accompanied us in the bathroom, left with enviable skin. • Also, in Frankfurt there is smoking in bars, and you have to keep that in mind! It reminded me a lot of when in Spain you could, and when you got home you had to wash your clothes to get rid of the smell of tobacco. It wasn't necessary here. To avoid the logistical complication of washing clothes in the middle of a trip, the aroma of the best ***** tobacco from the 80s accompanies you in their suites, giving the room an unexpected vintage touch. In short, thank you City Hotel-West. Reinforcing the importance of wanting to keep living is a great first step and a great conclusion to a weekend trip. I know I'm not the only one who, upon returning home on Sunday, hugged his family like he hadn't done in a long time.
