Extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel.
The most serious issue was the black mold in the bathroom. This is not a minor cleanliness problem—it is completely unacceptable in a hotel room and raises serious concerns about basic hygiene and maintenance.
On top of that, I had a problem with my room and contacted reception to ask to be moved. Instead of properly resolving the issue, I was told that the receptionist did not have the authority to make the decision and that the manager was unavailable. I was then offered another room only if I paid an additional €15.
So, after being given a room with problems, I was effectively expected to pay extra to get a room that was acceptable. That is extremely frustrating and, in my view, poor customer service.
The receptionist may have been limited by the hotel’s internal policies, but that does not excuse the management’s failure to provide a reasonable solution. A hotel should have someone available who can actually deal with serious guest complaints, especially when the issue concerns the condition of the room.
The hotel may look modern from the outside, but modern decoration means very little when basic cleanliness, maintenance and customer service are lacking.
Black mold in the bathroom, difficulty getting a room change, an additional charge for the alternative room, and poor handling of the complaint made this one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. Management seriously needs to address its cleaning standards, room inspections and approach to guest complaints.
