Laurel Cottage

The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Within 5 mins walk of supermarket, bakery and convenience stores, and 10 mmins walk from the centre of town. The only disadvantage was the absence of proper off-street parking.. We had some difficulty with parking and access to the room when we arrived - but this was resolved after a couple of phone calls.

Nice spot and very central to wine tram supermarket across the road and a few reasaurants on the main street. It was very quiet when we were there. Laurel Cottage was perfect for a 2 night stay as we had been in hotels so nice to have self catering. Room was amble and clean. It was maybe just a little dated. Our greeting from the owners was lovely such nice people. N Nice to have the outside area also but the weather was mixed so we didn't use it that much. Pool was a nice addition although small it would of been perfect if it was hotter

Lovely place with everything you need for comfortable stay. The host also kindly let us check out a little later as there were no other bookings for that day coming in. Which was appreciated. Great location for wine tram and close by to super market

The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Everything one would need for a self catering room is provided. The large fan was welcome relief in the hot weather. Will definitely stay there again

Great location close to everything Franschhoek has to offer. Friendly staff. Room has everything you would need for a self catering stay. Private balcony in room 3. Good sized shower room. The room needs a refresh. Although the linen is clean and freshly laundered there were some stains. Pinky and her team do the best they can but expecting them to keep linen pristine with a domestic washing machine is a step too far. Other major issue is the sticky sap that falls from the tree onto the balcony. The floor, handrails and furniture need wiping down constantly. Maybe cutting the tree back would help the situation.

Small room, but very practical. Good bed. Necessary equipment in the room. Excellent electrical outlets for charging devices. The garden could be better maintained and tidy. Would add to the comfort.

Stayed for 3 days and had a great stay at the Laurel Cottage. Very central location, within walking distance of all the bars and restaurants. Good communication throughout our stay with our hosts who were very helpful. Would book again.

Lovely stay. The staff were great. The room was nice and it was clean. There was a pool but it was very cold. Shame. Good venue as it was close to everything. Very happy
