Las Palmeras Affiliated by Fergus

Considering the small price that we paid for our weeks holiday this hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are a good size and whilst quite basic and a little dated were clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was fine for what we were paying. The quality of the breakfast sausage and pastries were very good, an omelette station would have been nice but we survived. The hotel do not open the pool area until 11:00 a.m. so after breakfast you are left for a couple of hours in limbo. It then closes at 6:00 p.m. whilst the day is still sunny and bright you either need to leave the hotel or return to your room. Around the pool are the most uncomfortable sun loungers I have ever laid on. There is no adjus**ent on them and they are as basic as you can find. There is no option to rent mattresses for them nor pool towels which is a shame. However the entertainment team ( Connor as he is by himself) does a fantastic job and is very entertaining and engaging. The pool area is the only major letdown of the hotel other than the noise if you are on the harbour side. This is no fault of the hotel (unless they are in some way affiliated with the bars and clubs that surrounded it). There is screaming shouting and extremely rowdy behaviour right through until 6:00 a.m. in the morning. Unless you are a very heavy sleeper you will be woken and I can imagine some people especially children could be distressed by the rowdiness and violence that occurs within the yards of the hotel. I feel really sorry for the hotel it's staff and it's guests but sadly they are let down by the rowdiness and unruly behaviour. If the authorities could step in and resolve this I would have no issue at all in recommending this hotel.

Basic hotel but the night noise is horrific - night club... noisy til 6am. reception staff pleasant and fast. Lovely pool area close to most things Food had a good selection could of been hotter but had a use of a microwave. The entertainment guy is top notch though.

Noisy Noisy Noisy.pub and nightclub noise heard until the early hours.if u want a restful holiday do not go here. Staff helpful is its only saving grace. Rooms are basic with no kettle but there is a fridge and a useless hairdryer. Plenty of restaurants close by.

Nice large room, , decent bathroom, clean and tidy, hotel needs updating in places ,but in a great location opposite the marina,so handy for the beach and restaurants and bars 5 minutes away and the train station and bus station ,5/10 minutes away. I would stay again , only had breakfast but is was good .

The hotel was clean, fresh and the entertainment was pretty good, Connor or Conor, made the experience, his infectious enthusiasm made the weekend, would come here again. We were half board, breakfast and dinner was an all you can eat buffet, the food was really good for what it cost, grand time

Rooms could do with updating. Very old fashioned and not enough plug sockets. Hairdryer was poor quality. Sunbeds could of done with cushions.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Las Palmeras. The food was very good on this occasion. Restaurant staff worked tirelessly to clean tables, replenish food and keep things moving. I had hoped the cooking station at breakfast would have been back in operation for omelettes but it wasn’t. Maybe next time! My main gripe relates to the uncomfortable sun loungers - you cannot sit up to read, just lie down (as they are not adjustable). Mattresses would make such a difference. In addition none of the English channels (BBC, ITV etc) were working which I reported at the beginning of my 2 week holiday and still weren’t fixed when I checked out.
