Yamadaya Hotel

Dear Yamadaya Owner, Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality during my stay. Over the two days I was there, I felt such a heartwarming sense of being at home, allowing me to truly relax. The staff were all incredibly kind and always greeted me with a smile, which I really appreciated. The food was also a delight; each dish was prepared with such care and tasted absolutely delicious and impressive. You could feel the unique hospitality of this inn in every single dish. Yamadaya, unlike typical hotels, truly values human connection and warmth. Thanks to that, the stay itself became a special memory. Thank you for such a wonderful time. I would love to visit again. Lots of Thais stay here, probably because it has private onsens available for booking. I recommend checking in and booking your onsen time as soon as you arrive. Honestly, the hotel isn't new; it has a certain antique charm to it. I even dreamt of a ghost 👻 in my sleep, haha (but it was just a dream). For this price, it's incredibly good value, as it includes both breakfast and a Japanese-style dinner. You can see Mount Fuji right from the room. P.S. There's a fridge in the room, so you can chill drinks. There are no bicycles for rent at this hotel; if you want to cycle, you'll need to go to another hotel.

The hotel is run by an elderly gentleman. We were delayed due to traffic congestion and the hotel's location is a bit far from Lake Kawaguchiko, so we didn't arrive until 8:30 PM. Luckily, they still held dinner for us, which was incredibly rich and delicious. They also have an outdoor hot spring bath where you can enjoy views of Mount Fuji – it was incredibly refreshing. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance!

Fantastic Japanese-style room. The room has a 'squatty potty' toilet and a sink, but no private shower. However, the communal bath on the ground floor is wonderful. After a shower, you can immediately enjoy the public onsen, which is incredibly relaxing and open almost 24 hours a day (except for a short cleaning period at midday). In addition to the public baths, each room can also reserve a private onsen for half an hour. The baths offer stunning views of Mount Fuji. The evening scenery is particularly beautiful.
