Very bad experience on our side. Will not go back. For context, I was mostly filtering on prices and ability to host 4 people when I made the booking, as it was year-end period and lots of options were fully booked. Checking again, I felt like we paid a price that's not worth the value we had. Unacceptable points: - The hotel has no onsite staff but this was not advertized at all in the hotel's information available on trip.com - On the second day, when we came back in late afternoon, the whole room was strongly smelling like tobacco or fresh cigarette, yet none of us are smokers and smoking is strictly prohibited. I appreciate the staff came on-site to install deodorizers, however they did not even try to understand why (our room was locked) or offer compensation. Bad points: - The bed sheets were dirty and the room did not feel 100% clean overall (tatami floor smells like tobacco). - The shower temperature is very difficult to adjust, either freezing cold or burning hot, with weak water pressure for hot temperature. - I booked the room for 4 people, however the room was made ready for 2 (futons were not displayed) Good points: - Good location close to 7/11 convenient store - Good wifi internet connection - Responsive owner (via whatsapp)

Overall Rating: [5/5] The Best Part: You will need to take the sightseeing bus on the red line to reach this hotel. The hotel is relatively near to the lake, walking distance. There are 2 convenient mart nearby to the hotel. Here nothing much can be done at night other than stroll around the quite countryside area and around the lake. The Room: The Room is clean and comfortable to fit 4 people. The room we selected comes with 2 single bed and 2 futon. With the futon lay out, the room is still spacious. The Service: Check-in process is very easy. All done through an iPad after our pre-check in Would I stay again? [Yes]

A very nice guesthouse-style hotel with relatively large rooms compared to traditional Japanese hotels. It’s very convenient for self-driving, with a parking lot right downstairs. From the left side of the window, you can catch a distant view of a corner of Mount Fuji. Great value for the price. However, there is one downside: the shower water flow is inconsistent, alternating between strong and weak, hot and cold throughout the day, as mentioned in other reviews. Hopefully, this issue can be improved soon.
